WTB Turbo

Whats with all the Questions? …

Like title states WTB Turbo . If you dont have one then GTFO

I have a turbo :retardclap

Because, what’s the big deal to answer them? Why’s everything need to be a secret?

Because the backside is 5-bolt.

He would need to find a 4 bolt housing, cut the 5 bolt flange off the dp that he just had made.

You can find 30r’s readily avliable in a 5-bolt housing.

No point to make something a pita when you don’t have too.

Yea , ATP has them in that option.

what kind of “garrett” dealer? these housings are very available from Garrett suppliers like ATP turbo, turbos direct, etc…those companies make many housings that Garrett doesnt make themselves.

thanks laduke, i know that.

i’ve got an hta82 for 500 cash.

what motor is this going on? you might be better off with a 50 or 57 trim for the amount of money you want to spend.

Duke are you looking for T3 or T2(t28) inlet flange for this turbo?

His shop works directly w/ D&W Performance, one of the 5 Garrett Master Distributors.

That housing on the 3071 w/ the 5bolt/t3 is a stainless steel housing and will cost up the ass. Other options listed on there aren’t even performance housings. They buy a lot of shit separately from Garrett for much cheaper than it would cost dealers and then throw them together themselves for greater options. They have the ability to do stuff like this because they pay an astronomical fee annually to Garrett to be exclusive Master Distributors.

Dealer’s like my friend have to pay $800 for a turbo when those distributors are paying $500. It sucks for smaller shops like his because the Master Distributors can always undercut him.

Regardless, with a $300-$600 budget, there is no need to be even acknowledge that option exists, and again (like I said) the 5 bolt is NOT available from Garrett w/ a T3 flange on the GT30 series unless you swap out the exhaust housing for a reworked or aftermarket one.

OP, I will let you know the price on that used GT28 when I hear back from him…

its the same price at the standard garrett t31 exhaust housing.

like i said, the major garrett suppliers often make their own housings for customers if garrett doesnt IE they take a t31 exhaust housing and cut them to fit larger gt3076r and gt35r wheels and they are not very expensive if any additional money, and sometimes cheaper as in my example of a gt3076r with a t31, vs the standard gt series 4 bolt outlet. im not sure what business your buddy is in, but if its selling turbos for high performance cars ATP is the way to go because of their huge number of options, quick turn around, and good pricing. turbos direct is good too if you got 20k+ to drop.

Did your turbo blow? Saw your WTB on honda-tech.
