Bumping, cause my music collection is now viewable (in text form) online:
lol at complaining about modern music when the OP listens to Papa Roach.
Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Pantera > *
I listened to it when I was a kid. This thread was actually a more specific example of what I was saying in the other thread. Papa Roach now makes the same shitty rock I was birching about.
Get a grip and stop trying to come at me, junior.

why u mad tho?
That is pretty nuts, wish I had time to acquire and listen to half that stuff… VGG, but, none of Peter Hammill’s solo stuff though ?
Classics: Camel selection looks a little light (def. need Moonmadness). Nektar gotta have Remember the Future, and A Tab in the Ocean.
Modern: You will want to add Riverside (Polish prog band) their entire catalog, Arcane’s Chronicles of the Walking Dream, Karnivool’s Sound Awake.
I still need to check out Maudlin Of The Well (not going to suggest them yet, but I like what I have briefly listened to).
Dream Theater you will want the Falling Into Infinity double disc official bootleg (this is the original album before the record company forced it down to a single disc).
I’ll get on it. Check out Änglagård and Phideaux which are probably my favorite “newer” Prog bands.
I also need to get Rick Wakeman’s 4732467843 solo albums
PHIDEAUX’s Snowtorch and Doomsday Afternoon are both fantastic, thanks.
On a similar note check out DISCIPLINE’s Unfolded Like Staircase (1997) and To Shatter All Accord (2011) , and STEVEN WILSON’s Grace for Drowning (2011).
For classic U.S. prog give HAPPY THE MAN’s Crafty Hands (1978) a listen, although not as polished/cohesive as the Britt’s.
You don’t have enough DEVIN TOWNSEND.
… patiently awaiting Mikael Akerfeldt and Steven Wilson collaboration Storm Corrosion to come out.
Lol bump?
