WTF is this v. Time warner

mine does it to sometimes . normally fixes when ya change the channel

So you leave your TV on 24/7 too?

Pretty much, Its nice to just walk into a room and bang, CSI is on. Or something on speedchannel.

The bedroom tv is almost never off.

I really didn’t think anyone could lower my opinion of how lazy people are, but you have. Congrats.

I’m honestly so amazed and stupefied by the laziness and willingness to spend money on electricity and picture tube/bulb/lcd(what ever your tv is) wear that I’m just going to leave early from work due to the fact that i won’t be able to process anything property for the next 15 minutes anyway.

how the fuck old is that tv?

the cost difference is marginal.

the tv is pretty old, it was 120$ new probabaly, i dunno 6 years ago?
Its served me well.

Possible watching a channel that is Switched Digital and it if senses so long of inactivity it will try to tear down the session.

Asking a friend in who may know why that happens.

Confirmed SDV session tear down…

(3:10:46 PM) Glenn Brown: ever hear of on TW a blue transparent screen popping up and asking to continue. If you don’t box goes to blue screen and has to be rebooted?
(3:10:54 PM) *********: yea
(3:10:55 PM) Glenn Brown: Is that SDV session tearing down?
(3:10:59 PM) *********: eya
(3:11:04 PM) Glenn Brown: that what i thought
(3:11:06 PM) *********: channel up and back should fix it
(3:11:14 PM) Glenn Brown: ok

It is TW’s right do this, for jackasses like you who do stupid shit like leave your settop box on instead of putting it into powersave mode.

It also saves on bandwidth used.

Yeah man so when I have to channel up and down in the middle of a movie its okay?

It jackasses like you who say stupid shit that make people switch to DISH.

so you are too lazy to just walk into the room, grab the remote, and hit the System power button? Which will automatically turn on both the TV and cable box?

fuck your life

keep it civil

well, sorry dude, I guess we are a little harsh. It’s not unreasonable to ask him to use the ONE button on his remote to turn on the TV though.

seems like a simple solution

if im home and not in the room, im normally in my office, the ajoining room, and ill have music channel on, unless my lady is watching bbca
