looking for old WWII era vintage tin/metal signs, posters, etc.
my basic theme is WWII bombers with the pinup girls/nose art, but anything you may have from that era may fit the theme.

I’ve been remodeling my garage, and the whole theme is based around this type of stuff. I’ve been painting all my new benches, cupboards, etc with the old miltiary theme. Eventually I want to have someone come out and do some murals of an old P-51 mustang, and an old Military jeep.

OT: If you dig that, you should check out the The USAF Museum at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton OH. Next to their B-1B they have an entire section dedicated to nose art (actual panels).
It’s an airplane geek’s wet dream. I’m going back in October.
I’ll definately post up some pics. Once I get a bit more done on the garage, I’m gonna post pics of the whole build. I figured some people may appreciate it.
And thanks for the heads up on that museum. I’m going to have to make that a priority. Sounds like it would be a blast. I love all the old military aircraft and artwork on them. Well…the new ones are awesome too, lol, but I just love the nostalgia associated with the old planes.

:tup: will do. I added a bunch of cupboards this past weekend that I picked up from an NYSpeeder and got them all painted and installed. Now I’m working on painting and hanging the pegboard. after that, I just need to paint a few small odds and ends, and then coat the floor. It’s starting to really come together, finally.

I was thinking your garage floor would look diesel as hell if it was painted with the USAAF insignia on a silver or white background:
or if you could go olive drab, the star-in-a-wheel insignia of the US Army:
