I did not like the third X-Men movie but this one looks sweet, finally Gambit, it’s about damn time.
It does look like it should be a good movie. I think the third x-men movie was somewhat shitty due to bad directing somewhat of a weak story line.
I am actually upset that they never brought gambit on yet rogue is still a a sucky emo lil cunt bag. I dont see them sticking to any comic books after how the movies have been going but I am still excited to see this. I heard rumors of a magneto movie just like this but i dont know what happened to it. It would be kind of epic if they made movies for a few of the major characters and released them within a few months of each other.
This movie will kick ass because wolverine kicks ass.

This movie will be coming out soon, followed by I think Cpt.America in 09. Thor and Iron man II will be coming out in 2010, and finally an Avengers (if you dont know, it is a group comprised of Wolverine, Cpt A, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, and I think the fantastic 4 all lead by nick fury) in 2011. So yes, Epic is the word to use.
Also, people seem to chalk gambit up to just being able to supercharge cards and throw them when he has actually threatened to charge the earth the the point of explosion because he has the power to do so. He’s alot more badass than people think.

The Avengers… will not have Wolverine or the Fantastic 4.

Seeing as how they already changed the Avengers to include the Hulk right off the bat, I can see them adding other stupid crap too… but it isn’t going to be Wolvie or the FF. They have their own franchises… and won’t be involved.
Fury will head up the Avengers… which also doesn’t make a whole hell of a lot of sense.
Ant Man and Wasp will have a movie coming out as well.
Cap and Thor are in pre-production I think.
Hawkeye and Vision may also appear in The Avengers. The cartoon Avenger movies that were released over the last couple years were great. The Iron Man movie was pretty close to the Iron Man cartoon movie that was released a couple years earlier.
As far as Gambit is concerned. He is badass. He also used to be able to time travel… which Mr Sinister has “borrowed”. Gambit has been around forever.

This Wolverine movie is going to fucking rock.
Blob was never in Weapon X… but they show Silver Fox and Sabretooth… and possibly Maverick, all of which were part of Weapon X. That will be badass. Blob and Gambit and all of the other “prisoners” that were shown (like Emma Frost) should be cool. She isn’t listed on IMDB though.
Looked like Deadpool was in it as well. That should be fricken sweet.

It looks like they are going to take the James Howlett origin and run with it.
This could be good and bad… but will likely work pretty well. I don’t like the fact that they show the little boy with claws. Wolverine never had claws pre-Weapon X. Unfortunately, when Magento stole his adamantium there were bones in place of the claws that were there. Eh… oh well. Writers can do what they want I guess.
By the time this movie comes out I will infuse myself with adamantium (with the help of Eric Lensherr) and I will personally slaughter anyone who makes a single noise in the theater.

I think they are documenting his origin(s) not interviewing him. He has never been able to recollect his past in much detail at all.
I agree though, the way the child acted, it could very well be a nightmare of some sort.
The hulk was part of The Avengers. He was braught in a little while after the origional Avengers comics started. He was also part of The Ultimates I believe, as was spiderman.
Avengers aside, this move will be absolutely EPIC! Hugh Jackman does an excellent job as Wolverine. Also, I can’t wait to see what they do with Gambit. He has always been my favorite of the X-Men.
EDIT: Deadpool is going to be amazing in this! well…he better or I’ll be pissed. He was part of the origional Weapon X program. Got his healing factor from gene manipulation taken from Wolverine.
Hulk was only partially, ever, an Avenger.
Initially it was Loki who wanted him to become unstable and crush Thor. Then they tag teamed for a little while, but Hulk was too unstable. This is made very clear in The Ultimate Avengers movie, I referenced above.
I’ll put it to you this way.
Avengers #1 - Hulk plays nice with Avengers.
Avengers #2 - Hulk leaves.
Not credit worthy in my book.
Though I will really enjoy seeing the Hulk in action either beside Thor or against him, I don’t think he should play a critical role on the avengers.
If you want to nit-pick… then there should be about 100 different avangers, and about 5 different versions of Dr. Pym and Thor.
Black Widow should play a crucial role, because she is super hot.
But… as far as Wolverine being an Avenger… not noteworthy.
