x pipes vs. h pipes for the stang

I always heard/read good things about Dr Gas X-pipe when I was modding my stanger

Pro chamber is pretty essentially an X-pipe in disguise. I run a full MAC exhaust (with ProChamber) and the sound is unbelieveable. Still has as much grunt as an H, but much more exotic sounding in the higher rpms.

Previous to the Prochamber I ran an H, and I cannot stress enough how much better the car sounds now…go with the X/Prochamber, you will not regret it!

I don’t think the x was raspy at all. I think having long tubes helped that. Years back I put an h pipe on with stock manifolds and it sounded terrible. It lasted 15 minuted before I yanked it off. I have some videos I can post later when it was on the dyno at wot.

X-pipes are raspy but give a few more hp.
H-pipes are the muscle car sound that your car needs

dont get an xpipe, the shitty rasp is not worth the 2-4hp

I have all MAC, with Xpipe, IMO the sound of Mac is pure sex.

Where are you getting this? My car has zero rasp, in fact if it ever had any rasp it was with the H pipe.

It’s also gonna be tough to get the 4.6 to have the deep grunt of a muscle car…

here is a couple vids from when i had my car…

BBK long tubse, matching X pipe and flowmaster 40s…which later got changed to a borla.

first one is on the dyno, prob not the best vid cause its indoors…second one is an in car vid on the street…nothing special, but no rasp.

When I first bought my stang, it had a rasp to it. It had a BBK x-pipe with cats. I am sure the cats had something to do with it, but also the rest of the exhaust played a role in it. The headers were Edelbrock RPM equal length shorties and the cat-back was also an Edelbrock RPM series. The guy I bought my car from loved Edelbrock.
Now I have MAC 1 3/4" LT, 3" Prochamber and 3" catback. It just sounds bad ass.

I ran mac prochamber on my 93 LX and LOVED it. If you can’t afford it new (don’t blame you) then just buy one used off corral or somewhere. It’s definitely worth going with it.

Im considering going with a prochamber with a magnaflow catback on my foxbody, is the prochamber emissions legal in new york state or would they give me a hard time to get this inspected? and would it match up easily with another companies catback?
