Surprises me that they use Craigslist
Lots of big companies use Craiglist
Craigslist? Seriously??
Are you guys stupid?
Go look at Craigslist for NoVA/NYC/Cali
Why not put out a job on CL? Huge audience. The more people that know about the job the better chance you have at hiring someone good.
+1 for craigslist being a good resource
less job related spam on craigslist than there is on Monster.com
People who don’t understand the technical job market should probably not post
btw I think this yahoo job pays 60-65k
Huge audience of people looking for hookers and car parts. Lets face it, not a bunch of bright individuals use Buffalo’s craigslist. Sure this could fly in Silicon Valley but Buffalo… lulz.
Considering the required skills, this is a great salary
You are so dumb…for real…
LOL
More to be exact
There are 3 technical departments at Yahoo!
- NOC which includes OC and SME experts in networking/mail/and many other Yahoo! properties
- Site Ops - hardware/configuration/etc.
- Help Desk - Customer Service/troubleshooting
NOC is the highest paid area for technical at Yahoo! Lockport. Also, the technical jobs are not salary - Hourly, OT, Holiday pay, Shift Differential.
LZ gave the average salary for the facilty
Yep, another reason why Yahoo sold Hot Jobs to Monster.
As Justin already stated down where I am it is a HUGE asset. Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and a lot of the huge players in the industry use Craigslist. Not to mention the hundreds of posts for the smaller companies too.
Yahoo posted some interesting looking jobs
Tech Yahoo, Service Eng Ops, Assoc in United States, New York, Lockport
Tech Yahoo, Software Dev Eng in United States, New York, Lockport
Global Service Management Analyst in United States, New York, Lockport
Look at Black Rock Financial as well if you qualify for these and want a shorter drive. They are building a data center in Getzville and think they are staffing some NOC positions as well when they open.
I can’t speak for the operations/tech side of the company but Blackrock is a great company to work for on the finance side. Rated as one of the hardest interview processes as well. I’ve had some friends work there in NYC. It’s great that this is coming to Buffalo.
Seems like I picked a good time to have my resume professionally modified. Thanks for the heads up yall.
