You ever build a KMS "farm" before?

I have an existing KMS server. I want to add a backup.

Got a couple questions:

  1. 2 KMS servers can use the same KMS activation key, right? I mean, they both activated. lol

  2. KMS needs a minimum number of activations to light up, if I remove a key (Let’s say, the Server 2008 R2 key) from the old one and only put it on the new KMS server, DNS would just tell all 2008 R2 servers to go re-activate up on the new KMS server, yes?

  3. Come to think of it, should I just say fuck it and just stick with one KMS? Doesn’t seem like it’s really mission critical, and this thing can be installed on a Window 7 workstation for God’s sake… if I do this, I want to upgrade and use this 2008 R2 box I just built. The other one is just a normal 2008 box, and Office 2010 doesn’t play nice.
