It is not sad… It’s called being a grown up. If someone is cursing and swearing around my kids… that is disrespectful. If someone is wearing a shirt with a curse word on it… that is uncalled for. Respect is the biggest issue in this country today. If people would just have a little more respect for the folks around them… there would be less issues to deal with.
There was a comment earlier about the hip hop or rap music with the f bomb all thru it… I don’t believe that music should be banned… but I do believe anyone caught blasting it and infringing on my rights (and my childrens rights) to listen to it… should be arrested.
Yes you have the right to say and do what you want… but you DO NOT have the right to force those choices on me… or my children.
ok but you would be infringing on that persons right to listen to it at the volume they wish? this whole issue is beat. equality in america is just a dream
I think that if it was jus me on the plane, I wouldn’t care. I’d just ignore her. However, if I had a kid with me, I think that would make me say something like ‘could you cover up.’ End of story. If she says no, than I do one of two things…
Beat the fuck out of her and get us both thrown off the plane for being offensive and dangerous.
Seat my children without saying a word and then approach her when she gets up to empty her fat ass and beat the fuck out of her in the 1x1 bathroom ‘stall’.
please explain to me what personal freedom someone has on a privately owned mode of transportation? or better yet which personal freedom allows her to wear a derrogatory shirt.
i forgot she has the ‘right’ to wear whatever she wants… i hope she wears her ‘fuck bush’ shirt up and down every street in the US and gets jumped by every bulldyke lesbian that has a problem with it… better yet, let that bitch wear it into pittsburgh and i’ll own her fucking ass after 5 minute ‘debate’ about OUR president. after listening to her banter on a news report i’m sure she’s like most uneducated liberal loudmouths without a point just trying to be the center of attention.
What I said has nothing to do with equality… You may have mis chosen that word.
It could be infringing on his/her rights… however… he can listen to it as loud as he wants as long as that sound does not leakout where others (who have not chosen to purchase it and listen to it) can hear it…
Again… it is back to respect… That same person who is listening to RAP at the highest levels… probably would not appreciate my having some sermon about how RAP music is corrupting the nation blasting at all levels and saying anyone who listens to RAP music is going to hell… That would be infringing my beliefs on another person…
There are always 2 sides to every story… however… there should only be one side to respect… Everyone should respect everyone else.
NOTE: The above reference was for this discussion only… I have no issues with any type of music.
peole are talkin shit on SW airlines but they are the only major air line that hasnt had a plane go down. (atleast to the best of my knowledge.) SW> all airlines. hence them becoming big finally.
oh and wear what you want. if you dont like what the shirt says dont stair at her breast. tell your kids to sit in there seat and watch the movie infront of them or read the magazine or play their game of connect four.
See this is the issue… I shouldn’t have to tell my children to look away… Haveing swear words on your shirt is simply disrespectful… You are infringing on mine and my childrens rights… I have the right to raise my children as I see fit. By you having swear words… which are offensive to most folks… displayed on your body… you are now forcing my child and myself to be exposed to acts that we have chosen not to be exposed to…
it is amazing that a stupid ass shirt can get so much attention…this lady prob. put the damn shirt on that day knowing that there would be at least one person who would make this into a bigger issue than it needs to be.
so to sum this all up, she is prob. a 30 year old fat ass with no life, no husband/boyfriend, no kids, a low paying job, still lives with her parents, and watches movies (alone) on saturday nights with a gallon of ice cream and a box of ho ho’s.
Censorship sucks, sorry but what made this country great is the freedom to do what you want (freedom of religion, etc.) If parents would parent their children instead of blaming their child’s mistakes on the media, music, and everything else that isn’t them, the world would be a better place. Now most of you will disagree but this whole society now-a-days is all about blaming someone else for there own faults, people need to go back to taking responsibility for their actions, and parents need to do it for their kids. Too much sue happy people blaming others and corporations for stuff that if you would use COMMONSENSE, could have been avoided, my Mickey D’s coffee burned me, 100 other examples I could pull up. And if you think hearing any curse words from T.V. or seeing printed curse words on a tee shirt is corrupting kids, you need some help! First off they are just words, second off I’ll bet you a millions dollars they hear it no matter how much they are sheltered. The guy that fell out of a canoe and swore abunch got sued by some family cause they found it offensive, WTF. So his freedom of speech wasn’t taken into consideration cause it offended others, and I’m sorry but this was on some river (in which no one owns so that whole private crap people brought doesn’t count here) This whole right-wing Christian FFC regulating everything bullschitt makes me sick. If you don’t want to be offended by what someone might say or wear or do then lock yourself in a room cause its always going to happen, but if you live in the real world and become a better person, you can say to yourself “well that’s not for me” and TURN OFF THE RADIO, OR THE T.V., DON’T READ SOMEONES SHIRT, END RANT!!!
Censorship. You are making it sound like you were ‘victimized’. I think some censorship should be used.
Something tells me if it was a ‘fuck kerry’ shirt you’d be all over this saying she was a bitch and deserved it. So stfu.
This ho ho, ice cream eating, peice of shit fat ass should have taken into consideration she would be on an airplane with families, businessmen (and ladies) and a whole lot of other respectful people. I don’t what her rights are or who she is… wearing an ‘anti-bush’ t-shirt (probablyy stained with food and nastiness) and boarding a plane post 9/11 was probably a stupid move. This has nothing to do with her rights… if she is a dumbass she deserves to be slapped on the wrist once or twice. No matter where I was going, or who I was meeting on the other end… I would dress casually on an airplane for sake of COMMON SENSE.
what do you know of their motives to kick her off??
ever consider she wore the shirt to start yet another pointless political arguement… when she takes the ‘rights’ of others by being disorderly and starting shit where it’s not needed, regardless of its’ content, that person gets removed.
what if there was some dumbfuck moore movie and a bunch of ‘protesters’ were causing shit during it, they would be removed as well.
What generalizations?, she didn’t have anybody in danger or cause any harm, why throw her off an airplane? Cause she chose to wear her opinion on her shirt, thats what makes America great, being able to have an opinion and EXPRESS IT… (a white trash women makes it even more american, YEE-HAW) I fight for this country so I believe I have more say then most on certain issues, and the thing I’m happy to fight for is an American’s right to say their opinion wheither its on the tonight show or on a T-shirt and not be prosecuted for it, as an American I thought we had those rights, but they seem to be getting taken away…
1: We don’t have an unbiased source of information about it, so:
a) she could have been a bitch intentionally starting shit, or,
b) she could have been a reasonable woman.
2: If someone started shit with me for having a shirt that said “fuck” on it, I’d laugh in their face. Do you think she’s the first air traveller to wear a shirt that said “fuck” on it? While I can’t say for sure, I’d imagine she isn’t.
3: The airline is within their rights, no matter whether we agree with them or not.
4 (off-topic): People who say they’d pick a fight with a person because their kids might see the f-bomb on a shirt are fucking idiots. Teach your kids that the solution to a minor annoyance is escalating the bullshit… very mature.
sorry but I agree with these guys on the who gives a fuck stance. Evidently the airline didn’t care till some bitch cried about it since they let her board the plane to begin with…
