Flat rate boxes are sweet, but only if you can fit the shit in there. I use them from time to time too. Usually its printed off online, taped to the box and dropped off at the UPS or USPS place by my work. walk in, walk out, never waited for more then 1-2 minutes if that.
It depends, and i do my homework when i ship stuff. USPS is cheaper at times than UPS, others not I guess.
They should get rid of the clerks and just make walk up booths. Place the package on the scale, have a simple laser scanner get an aprox size of the box for you. touch screen enter destination address and return address. Prices VS shipping option pops up, you click SELECT and pay. swipe your credit card and it prints out the label. Have ONE employee there that grabs the box, puts it on the conveyor belt behind them and next person steps in. have like 10 of them in a line. 10 less employees needed to do retard work, and they can go find a better job.
