I know this is a shot in the dark, but has anyone gone to this school or know anyone who has? A 1510 SAT score and 2.0 GPA leaves me with some unexpected choices.

Wait…a 1510…hasn’t the scoring system changed. That used to be a fantastic score…but I don’t know if that’s still the case.
I know a kid that went there. There’s always shots going off apparently.

A highschool friend/co-worker of mine went there for Civil Engineering.
It is no longer anywhere near as good as it would have been when 1600 was perfect, but it’s still probably a decent score…
i got that 1510 in 1999, when it was an awesome score. although i’d imagine any school that requires an SAT score would want me to retake it… i don’t know that they accept nine year old scores.
i failed half of my classes in high school because i didn’t feel like doing any coursework… so i have A’s in Poli Sci, English, History, Japanese, and Gym, and F’s in math and sciences (I hated doing proofs for math that I could do in my head).
Way to stick it to the man!

yeah, i was a little fucking asshole.
my aunt is paying my tuition as long as i do well, so i figure i should “apply myself” this time around. youngstown state is the only school i can commute to, has a prelaw program, and will accept my terrible high school transcript.
my other option is Pitt-Johnstown, but I’d have to move.

I didn’t realize you were that smart Mr. 1510. Make sure you take Economics and Statistics. If you can muster the concentration, those classes will cure you of your socialism.

2400 is a perfect SAT score now. They changed the format.
I know a few people who have attended YSU, it’s kinda hit and miss. Some like it, some don’t. It is located in the worst part of Youngstown though. Not bad during the day, but be careful at night.
