in high school/summer i rocked around in my parent purchased 96 saturn coupe or 96 exploder, mostly the exploder though, no radio, broken locks, rust around the gas cap, but that car was built on a wednesday, you could crunk into all kinds of stuff and abuse it and it just wanted more. correction: still wants more.

Yup. Mine was column shifted and it was rust as hell but I got it for free when my parents bought a new Mercury in 1984. Eventually, the trunk floor rusted through and the rear leaf spring ended up inside the trunk. Things went from bad to worse when I got a '77 Volare to replace it. That car was soooo bad that I swore off Mopar products for life.

OK, learned to drive at about age 14 on the back roads in a 63 Corvair 4 door with Push Button Auto Trans. Took my test in a 71 AMC Gremlin, 3 Speed floor shift. Last “parents” car was 73 Dodge Dart with a 225 Slant Six. First one I owned was a 1967 International Scout. Nothing before or since has gone in the snow like that pos. Drove it 'til the gas tank fell out of it.

Me, 85 CRX Si. I finally scrapped the shell after selling off the fresh motor in it last fall. My dad was so happy to have his garage back lol.
does anybody else have this feeling for your first car?
i loved my first car so much, i actually cried the day i got rearended and lost her. even though i have almost the exact same car as before the accident, i still feel nostalgic for her.
or am i just a loser?
