I think its cool that they are trying to be different but I think its lame in a way. The whole Ratrod style comes from the essence that the parts are cobbled together and used as is hence why most of the frames and chassis parts are rusted since they are 50 years old. The trend to wire brush a hood to make it look like its old and faded is as lame as someone buying a new fender guitar thats been made to look aged and played for 10 years when in reality its a brand new guitar.
