Your top 3 favorite exhausts

Sounds like a revvin mofo!!

here

ahh fuck i cant figure this shit out it was a vid on sttreetfire of a 95 camaro wit a custom cam between the cc306 and gm 847 if someone can find it search under cc306 gm847 its under one of those car is breakin his slicks in ,in a garage and its red

The GTR’s were limited to 8700rpm. Zoom zoom!

…for reference the S70/2-G was same motor as street S70/2 minus emission crap and used restrictor plates on the twin MAS in the airbox and different TAG programming. Pankle titanium rods, forged Mahle pistons, billet crank were all the same between the cars. Essentially the top ends of two BMW S50B32 engines mated together(Euro BMW M3 motor).

I’m actually sitting here in front of my PC going through my contacts pricing out some stuff to see what it would theoretically cost me to replicate this motor in a sense. Number isn’t too bad…yet

Let me know what the cost would be, im kinda interested!!

Oh definitely not for the faint of heart…I estimate $35K +/- a few grand for misc hardware and parts. Uses all OEM BMW consumable components(coilpacks, water pumps, gaskets, main bolts, etc, etc). Note I have NONE of this in Solidworks at the moment, so all CNC is based off previous knowledge and quotes I’ve done, however I just worked up an estimate going through past stuff and some receipts from previous builds

-Billet AL CNC block, est $10K
-Billet 4130 CNC crankshaft, est $7K
-Spun CI sleeve install, timesert install, etc, est $1500
-S50 aftermarket internals(Pauter rods, Mahle pistons) est $3K
-S50 OEM hardware, gaskets, tensioners, chains, covers etc… est $1500
-S50 single vanos(USA) M3 heads and valvetrain, refurbished est $2K
-OEM S50B32 induction system(Euro M3) est $2500 pair.
-Drysump oiling system, Peterson components, est $5K
-One off 321 stainless header system est $3500
-Assembly and setup $4K

Other things that would be needed and or optioned out:

-Ole Buhl Racing(OBR) Euro 12 V C EMS, or Motec M800/880 EMS est $5K
-Custom CNC roller throttle ITB setup, est $3K
-Sunbelt S50 camshafts/springs est $4500 (for two sets)
-Electrical(coil packs, alt, fuel injectors, etc,etc) $1500

Now take this with a grain of salt here, it’s alot to stomach and most of this could be sourced as I’m going by estimated NEW OEM prices on most things. Heads, induction, electrical, etc, etc could be sourced elsewhere for cheaper in some cases, but in reality if spending this much money why would ya.

Now you can see what not for faint of heart, but truthfully this is still a good deal cheaper than the M77 Carrera GT engine and transmission that I was looking at buying from PCNA awhile back for the 962. Was actually just talking with Clark and if S54 heads and dimensionality were used, you would end up with a 6.8L quad vanos v12, in the 6-650hp range

fuck that if it’s 6.8l it’s 680bhp or bust.

Wow that shit is expensive…10K for a block!?!

I deff like a lot of the ones in here, they make it on my alltime list but for now just one

Sounds good for a v6, but it gets really good with the open cutoff :tong

well that sounds like dick

I LOVE the exhaust in the first 3/4 of this video. :bowdown ;D

[[for real, I’m probably going to run something like that again when the car comes out :shifty :ninja]]

Sounds like joe dirt ripped his exhaust off coming down his dirt driveway

Well ~330hp stock = 660 hp with no increased drag. 3.2L stock = 3.4L before any crank changes are made. That is Mclaren F1 LM territory without even getting fancy, and would sound quite similar :nod Even at 6.4L it’s bigger than the S70 right from the get go(6.4L vs 6.1L)

You start with a 400lb block of 6061, about 100hrs of CNC’ing leaves you with 300lbs of shavings and a trick billet block. You pay for CAD design(me), billet cost(est $3-3500), and setup/operation of CNC(est $3K average for this nature).

I’d just like to see 100bhp/liter

Oh wow, i didnt know that the entire block was cnc’d. Its only 100lbs?? I may have to have you cnc me something in the near future… :ninja

As far as knockoff exhausts go, they don’t get much better than that. I’ve heard more than one Z owner say that the weld quality is better one that exhaust than on the HKS Hi-Power that it copies :wow Not to mention the enormous difference in price :nod

And I personally think it sounds better!
