you're doing it wrong vs. boat

I LOVE that Boston Whaler… It’s way nicer than that POS FORD product.

When I see it’s you I’m going to run.

zd, you are going for border patrol? I have a business proposition for you

LOL Jeff…

You may be rated unsuitable for a Border Patrol Agent position if your background includes:

past or present arrests
convictions (including misdemeanor domestic violence charges)
dismissals from previous jobs
debts and financial issues
excessive use of alcohol
use of illegal drugs, and/or the sale and distribution of illegal drugs
You may also be subject to a polygraph examination.

I will go john wayne on your ass… and then take the beer

well, maybe after a Miami Vice boat chase.

lol. :nerd:

Drive truck into water, then unhook boat and proceed over the truck.

What a dumbass

The sad thing is, I almost never take beer with me now. Not worth the major hassles on the Canadian side. It’s very “iffy” if you’re even allowed to carry it in a sealed container now unless the boat has a galley, head and sleeping quarters. The owner of the place I worked got ticketed last week for having an open empty can in the back of his Whaler, and was told he wasn’t even allowed to have a full beer even if it was in a sealed container. That was the Niagara Regional police, west bank of the river near GI (Canadian waters).

I tried researching it and I found some places claiming as long as it was sealed you were OK (not what the sea pig said) and some places that said unless the boat had a galley, head and sleeping quarters it wasn’t even legal to transport alcohol in it (what the sea pig said).

<—waiting to get pulled over this year.
I was twice last year by the coast guard.
Not a problem i guess, but there are a lot of offiical boats out ther.

Now there’s something you don’t see every day…

There goes another couple hundred thousand wasted dollars.

You guys have never seen a boat launch a truck before?

Think I just saw this cruising up the niagara gorge.

i honestly figured it was going in the gorge, seeing how powerful the fucker looked. where else would you really need that much power besides there. maybe if something happens to the jetboats or something, someone falls in…etc.

sick looking though if you do see it, you dont seem any boats with 4 engines hanging off the back, in person.

I am skeptical that a Vee Shaped hull with outboards or inboard/outboards could run up the gorge to where the jet boats get to. There is a good reason why the Jet Boats are running flat bottoms and jet boat engines.

Coast guard boats are powerful for MANY reasons; fast response times, chase situations, rough seas. etc…

yeah, just realized that after i said it, the props could catch on something in the gorge!

That coast guard boat could be stationed in Buffalo or Fort Niagara. It could run all the way to the whirlpool in an emergency but they don’t make patrols up that far. Hell, an insane friend of mine took his 19 foot I/O bowrider all the way to the whirlpool (right at dawn, when more water is being diverted to the power project). It’s PLENTY deep, the issue is not dying from the class 5+ rapids. He did it once and said he’d never do it again. It was a case of once he went so far he was committed since trying to turn around in the rapids would be instant capsize.

The farthest you’ll see a sane person in a regular boat is devils hole just above the power projects. I take my 18 footer up that far any time I go to the lower.

After reading this thread I wouldn’t be surprised if they made you get an enhanced license just to boat on Erie and Ontario.
