…evertime i see you post its related to u smoking ppl…sorry for the hate but once you have serious mods…then glout…and yes your motor sounds great, just tone it down on the whole skyliner thing
Just curioous but what are you putting to the ground??
Haha Mark, your sig kicks ass. Cast iron blocks FOREVER!!!
That was in all of two posts…get a life.
Cast iron blocks…Aluminum pop can heads.
Here is a picture of the pathfinder intake manifold that I tig’d up today at autodream…removed the egr crap, the pathy idle control and welded in the 300zx idle control flange also I removed all the coolant stuff and cold air idle control.
So what are your power projections with this engine? I hope you went with the Nissan asbestos head gaskets. I’ve heard that they are great for 30psi+. With 25psi and sufficient tuning(your bottom end should hold that) I can see you eclipsing 500hp quite nicely.
Matt
P.S. I saw the 450hp in your sig, but I figured that was a conservative estimate. Some C16 and that engine will be a rocket.
Yeah I am being conservative with my estimate right now just because I don’t want to get bummed if I don’t make more you know. I think I could be well into the 500hp ronge but I think on pump gas 450 is where I will sit. I hope that with some race gas I will be higher but I don’t want to get retarded as this will be summer daily driven.
^^^thats awsome good luck with your project…
Always good to see some welding. I wish you well.
intake looking nice! CHROME IT!!! HAHA jks when do u get your heads and block back?
I will have my heads within a couple weeks and my block should be finished in about a week and a half.
Jason you need to show me to tig. Finaly got my mig all set up. Im such a lazy ass. I cant wait to see your car again. I will be up there on the 25th and I want to see that intake too. Peace
Hey guys, spent some time tonight working on the CT-26 setup in the car with my old block for fitment, thought I’d post up some pics.
Some of the pics have my pathfinder manifold in them as well, which is modified to use the stock FICD, as well as bored to fit the 240SX TB, and you can also see my custom engine mounts used to slightly lower the engine so the manifold can fit under the stock hood with no issues.
On to the pics, they pretty much speak for themselves.
Threw one of the new rims on and they fit perfect. Well the fronts need 1/4 spacer to get them to where i want em.
They are work ewings 17x10 and 17x9.
Niceness.
Man, I’m guessing you’re not leaving removability for that turbo, hehe.
I’m seriously tempted to pick up a Holset HX35 turbo. Can be had for extremely cheap and it will hold up better than any of the Garrets. On a 3.0L engine it should be able to hold 30+psi, although I wouldn’t run anywhere near that. But the HX35 is small enough that it should spool below 3500rpm, maybe even lower. Time to go check out some truck wreckers.
I am not sure if I understand what you mean with removabilty. I can removed it super easily. Way easier than the stock setup. All the bolts are accesible. ??? How much for that turbo chrome??
^^^i love custom shit keep it up looks good…i love the simple turbo relocation, downpipe looks tricky…you should make a crazy octapus stainless manifold…anyways looks good!
NM, I’m an idiot. For some reason I just glanced at the pic and assumed you had welded the manifold extension straight to the turbo. Obviously you just welded it to the flange and you can still remove it via the bolts.
I hope to pick up a strong condition HX35 for under $300. There are quite a few places that sell them for under $1000 brand new though.
Thanks guys. Where can you get them???
