Z31 450hp stitch welded soon to be masterpiece

Did you at least install the 4wd system to accompany that lift? :o

The car never had a rear spoiler. It never will either.

That’s what your car looks like when it has nothing in it, no engine, no interior, no gas tank, no drivetrain, no anything…

EDIT: You S13 guys like those 285’s on the back?

So yeah the majority of the above pics aren’t complete. They are of the car in sealer. The photo os the headlight cover and underside of the hood are final. The color is like a charcoalish metallic black. Lots of flake in there. It looks pimp.

285 isn’t bad for a Z31, I don’t think I’ve seen wider than 275 on a stock fendered S13. The bulge is good for drag.

Thats why i’ve got the 6" lift

Looks like it’s coming along nicely, great work! I love to see the older ones come back to life.

As for the 285…I thought my 235 was big  I need some of those wide fukkers for the strip!

Yeah here is a couple of the tire/wheel.

Ewings have been going pretty cheap over the last year. Bet you got a good buy on those. Looks like the Spearco a lot of the Edmonton Talon guys have been using the past 4 years.

I got a good deal off of a friend (chris-sidewayskyline).

I passed on some last year. Good to hear you like them.

My new turbosmart 40mm external wastegate. got this bad boy free for doing a little welding work for a drag car guy, YAY.

Gonna vent it to atmosphere? :E

Nope back inot the downpipe.

WHAAAAAT? That will hardly pollute at all!

It’ll pollute just as much when your not running a cat, but less flames…hmmm…too bad. BTW, lookin good jason, now you just need to get that sexy, black, metal flakey beast back on the road.

I am running 3" exhaust without a cat and i would like the underside of my car not to be covered in black gunk.

It will be back as soon as I save up 3000 to pay for random crap that I still need. Should be another month and a bit.

Here’s some updated pics I took tonight…

New paint, got the trim painted black now as well:

Repaired rear quarter panel with shaved side marker:

Front fender with shaved side marker:

My old VG30E I had lying around that I’ve been using to do mock ups for my turbo piping fabrication and intake manifold, as well as engine placement:
http://jeff.supramania.com/300zx/temp_engine.jpg

My custom pathfinder intake manifold, I cut out the entire side of the intake manifold and welded on the 300ZX flanges, I’m in the middle of grinding out extra material and smoothing the entire thing out:

My new custom engine mounts, they position the engine’s oil pan about 3/8" above the crossmember, significantly lower than stock, to allow the pathfinder intake manifold to clear the stock hood without modification:

Clearance between the oil pan and crossmember:

Position my wastegate will be in after the necessary fabrication is completed:

My new JDM Greddy Type-S blow off valve:

Enjoy.

Jason

damn your doing alot of fabricating!! this car should be be sexy when its done!!

And id like to point out that jason made his own rear quarter panels for the car out of stainless steel all without using much body filler and with no real autobody experience (and they look perfect).

pathfinder intake  its ment to be turbo charged

wicked fab job
