02 escalade, with this chirping noise coming from the passenger side, I can’t tell if its the front or back. Anyways, it hasn’t made this noise all winter but now that its warming up its starting again. It made noise with the old pads/rotors, I put new pads/rotors on and it still makes the noise. As Im going down the road above like 5-10mph it starts to chirp, the noise goes away when I push on the brake pedal, but as soon as I let off it comes right back.
Pulled the front passenger tire off bc I think thats where the noise is coming from. The backing plate isn’t touching anything from what I can see. The pads still look brand new and evenly worn. I dont really know what else to look for, but its driving me crazy! Any ideas, or anyone feel like taking a crack at it tomorrow? Im off all day. If you know your shit and fix it I’ll pay you of course.
Rotors were off ebay, no pulsation in the pedal. Pads were off ebay as well which are ceramic I believe. Doesn’t make noise while on the brakes from what I can tell, and the truck doesn’t pull to either side.
