alright… I’ve been getting yelled at for the past 3 days about breaking an axle at the track…
My girlfriend and I, along with a few friends are going to the track on weds the 19th.
nicole was going to run her car out of fun and to experience drag racing.
Now since I broke an axle last weds shes now saying she does not want to race cuz she is afraid of breaking something:rofl:
almost everyone I know has told her she’ll be fine and wont hurt anything (hell even the tow truck guy that picked me up weds said she wont either, and he races almost every weekend there)
So now I need you all to convince her that she’ll be fine and just to go and have fun.
its a stock automatic civic with a K&N filter and a apexi muffler… she aint breakin nothin lol
Well just explain to her that her Civic is not a high performance machine like your Neon that has an insane amount of tq and even more insane amount of hp. I mean I thought it was common knowledge that 1st gen Neons had so much tq that they twist the frame and shatter half shafts.
true.
but i think its alot better to take a non performance car and turn it into something impressive. like fmfkid’s civic
anyone can go out and get a WS6 and make it run 11’s for about $1500
but a little 4 cylinder… ha, catches my eye a little bit more then a v8 trans am
I can somewhat see what your saying. The whole I enjoy a challenge thing…but I think that is waaayyy overrated and often used as an excuse. Like I said to you 11billionty times…its not like when the neon or civic first came out people were like “man those are sweet…I will own one of those one day” They are just everyday cars built for cheap transportation with zero % performance in mind when designing them(excluding SRT4).I say if you are buying a car to have fun with then get a car you actually like first…preferably one that had performance in mind when designing the vehicle. But if taking a car that you and nobody thinks is cool and is not meant to perform and dropping loads of cash into it to make it fast…then getting a huge manboner when you beat a stock f-body or anything that is built to perform somewhat decent…then more power to you I guess…I personally think that frame of mind is quite gay.
But we have had this conversation many times and for some reason you think fast pile of poo are cool…or force yourself to believe that. I know deep down you want to get a nice clean car that is badass to begin with and have fun with it stock and modding it. But at the end of the day I enjoy busting your balls…its all in good fun
yes indeed, I want a TA.
If i get a promotion at work I may be able to afford one…
but I’m being forced into renting a townhouse and shit resently so its still gonna be hard…
