The head is back on with the fuel rail and injectors. Next was the timing belt stuff which I got all done and found that my tensioner had gone bad. So I ordered a brand new one and put it in the next day, only to find that my engine would not turn over. It kept locking up after about 5degrees past tdc in either direction. Well I figured the only thing that changed was my clutch, so sure enough I loosened the tranny to engine bolts and spread the case about a 1/2 inch. The motor and trans turned flawlessly then… arghhh time to pull the trans out again. The clutch cover bolts were spaced 1mm to far because of the spring lock washer and normal washers used. It was only contacting the trans case in 1 spot so I just shaved 2mm off that spot and threw the whole set up back together. Finally the engine turned over just fine with everthing tight. Lets see what was next…
I removed all my stock gauge sending units and install the defi units.
I had the crack in my carbon fiber hood fixed and painted along the “invader” edge.
I mocked up and fully welded my 3.5" vband only exhaust.
I sent my header and turbine housing out for jethot2000 in black.
I started and finished most of the fiberglassing of my gauge clusters.
My sparco harnesses finally came in!
At this point all I need is time to dedicate and some money for my fuel system, otherwise here are some more pics…
