meh…nice looking car but ill take an all motor pushrod 16v engine with the same performance.

figures the mustang would have the most ridiculous sponsors…

Very nice car!

 cool pics

actually… I remember reading that the new stang was supposed to have something like 51/49 weight distribution aswell. Shed a few pounds and add some suspension upgrades and you have yourself the best of both worlds

anyone know if the new cobra is IRS or solid rear? hopefully that later of the two (I just don’t care for the feel of IRS in a car like that)

seriously?

this was back before the car was released so I’m not sure what it ended up being. Thats was a preview article said

edit: google says 53% front /47% rear

edit:edit: shit, move the battery to the trunk and remove the AC… that should do the trick  (or atleast put you damn close)

I agree with you to a certain extent. However, you’d be hard pressed to find one of these Mustangs right about now and people are paying a big premium for them. This tells me that they are doing something right.

Thats really not a fair comparison. Sure they make similar power, but the Mustang is a pony car. This means it was made for drag racing and stop light warriors.
The Corvette is a sports car and the Z06 is close to be considered a Supercar, at least that what R&T says. Thats a totally different class.
In addition, Ford made a conscious decision to go with a live rear axle due to the type of customer they routinely see. I would have loved if the car had IRS but research showed that many people were not interested in it.

Anyway, its a sweet car and I would love to get one, strip it down and run some 9’s.

or more likely that they are a limited production run of a car valued by people that can afford toys like that. tells you nothing of the sort. :banghead:

Like I said.

too bad 03 cobras wont be worth what these will be in years to come

i was thinking the same, BUT!!!, the gt500 is f-ing expensive as compared to ur typical stop light warrior.

lets see

40k to go fast in a straight line?

50k to go fast any way u want?

ide splurge for the vette

you can pick up 03s in the teens now…
