1.8t's MKIV poop

im going to a few dealerships 2moro to price out a few of those cars, im gonna list my car for 4k :sad

eye open for

-02-04 RSX-S
-EP3 Si (01-05 i believe)
-WRX (bugeye-2005 bodystyle)

:nod

02-05 wrx’s had a 2.0 06/07’s had the 2.5litre…

im not made of $$$$ im broke as fuck probably gonna get a 2.0

the 02/03 bugeye wrx would be your best bet… fairly inexpensive and an awesome platform to start with… mid 14’s out of the box and awd for winter mode to boot.

im leavin the motor damn close to stock(intake, exhaust, ect.) until its fully built i am gonna jdm the fuck out of the exterior :rofl and pink volks cuz i want that greyish black color

if you do get an intake/exhaust for the wrx, DO NOT install it without a proper tune. celtic1982citlec can do a quick road tune on it to ensure safety, but i would suggest making a trip with me to moon performance for a full dyno tune done by seth. it would make a NIGHT and DAY difference.

good to travis

the issue is that the wrx factory tune runs on the lean side to induce spool early in the powerband. by opening up the intake and exhaust, it allows more air leaning out the fuel mixture even more which could be catastrophic. the intake basically changes the MAF scaling on all but maybe 1 or 2 of them out there. for an intake id look at an aps cold air intake, then for the exhaust, (i prefer catless for more power) helix or invidia downpipe with a greddy evo2 exhaust. the evo 2 is one of the most soothing tones without being extremely obnoxious. and of course, if you needed and help with it id be glad to lend a hand or 3(once im not a cripple.)

im keepin my cats on and not paintin my tails

he doesn’t even have the car yet trav :lol

mark, have you thought about a mazdaspeed protege or like an 03-04 srt-4? i’ve always liked those mazdas and they look sweet and reliable! and there pretty rare and very mod friendly…

no offense to anybody but neons are ugly and i hate mazda’s

whats wrong with mazdas? the protege is pretty sweet and i’m sure a few will agree… but its your money and you do as you wish.

im sure theyre quick and all but i dont like how they look and im not driving somthing ugly

the mazdaspeed protege?! all 170 CRANK hp out of a turbo’d car…riiiight that thing is BALLS slow. an SVT focus puts out the same hp NA out of a 2.0 litre. the 02 wrx was 227 ponies at the crank out of a 2.0 with AWD and is putting down 160-170hp to the wheels! i almost bought an srt-4 myself until i realized ITS A NEON! the best bang for the buck would be either a honda or a subaru and the AWD subaru stock for stock would be your best starting point.

seriously, check this link on nasioc… a modded 02 bugeye very cleanly for 11,500 OBO…

id love a modded car but i need somthing i know will run fine one day to another, its close to stock but i want somthing bone stock and un-tampered with

there is NO SUCH THING as a guarantee that a car will run 100% whether modded or not… you can buy a brand new car off the lot and puke the motor on the way home… not to mention, if you are going to be modding it anyways you are going to change the parameters no matter what… why not buy it already done and call it a day… take someone with you who knows about that specific make/model, have them check it out with/for you and go from there. an 02/03 car is already 5 years old… and an integra being even older… all these cars will require some form of maintenance no matter what. gotta pay to play junior.

thats true but certified pre-owned generally means its legit

you wont find that on a car 5+ years old and if you do they are full of shit… all it is, is marketing hype anyways. certified pre-owned is another term for (someone else didnt want this shit anymore, we looked at it and want to sell it to you)

ha ha thats the best one ive heard yet
