figured i might as well make a thread, cause im bored and I know how everyone loves pictures. most of you remember my 20v coupe that I parted/sold earlier this year.
I then was looking at another syncro GTI however the sale fell through, so i decided to try something new, i picked up a 95 civic ex with a K20 swap. I always loved k20 swaps and i drove it and had to have it.
I had the car for about 3 weeks and it developed a rod knock,I decided i really didnt want to drop 2gs to fix the car so i decided to cut my losses and walk away. needless to say i was back in the market for a new car. I decided to get back into my true love. MK2s.
This is the black bomber, a friend of mines brother had the car for years and never really drove it. the car had been sitting for the most part, and needed a lot of TLC. the car was pretty un-molested, however the dash was cracked, the headliner was falling down, the pass rear door had rot, and it was pretty cosmetically challenged. however it did have a full drivetrain swap from a 95 GLX, and I mean FULL, ABS, A/C, gas tank, MFA, SAI the whole deal. it also has some performance goods in the form of a schrick intake, cat cams, peliquin diff and some other goodies.
the first order of business was to replace the headliner.
i decided to do something simple and went with black suede, 2 weeks later it decided to sag but i left it alone for now, but it was better than before. ill will be replacing it sooner or later.
next up was the dash, it was cracked and had damage from radio removal.
all done, i decided to install my momo i had on my coupe as well.
next up was the paint, waterfest was a week away and i wanted to get her shined up. the car is original paint but cleaned up real nice.
