Bitch please.
Sorry I had to.:rofl
Nobody NEEDS to be there. I will enplane:
start with a Google street view of “steele ave johnstown NY”.
All I see, headed towards that intersection is a single yellow line, IE NO PASSING. “Failure to stay right” moving violation. If he indeed went to pass a friend.
Furthermore, its a 55mph road. Lets assume they were goofing off and doing about 65. A 2000 Mustang GT is far from a super car. To go from 65 to 100 it would take about 5-10 seconds. So. if the pass was made at that speed, the pass was pre-meditated AKA he got a heck of a rolling start to make the pass.
OR…
He made the pass somewhat normal, and didn’t back off for a while… forgot he was at the tail end of the STRAIGHT road, and the rest is apparent.
I live about 5 minutes from the accident scene, and know that road very well as I have friends who live up there. I would reconstruct the accident as, he took the right bend, booted it at the exit of the bend, was showing off when he didnt see any cars coming head on, passed on the double yellow. Other kid (apparently just as wreckless) stayed in the gas to “box him out”… ran out of road and cause the accident.
It doesn’t take much to recreate an accident scene when you know cars, and that road.
What I would be doing right now is admitting to yourself and everyone involved what happened, truthfully. Take whats coming as penalty, and move on with the life he is luck to still have. Then make some life decisions to help STOP people from doing the same horrific choices he made. Living with what happened will not be easy, but maybe trying my suggestions above will make it at-least a little bit easier.
