got to get a cable for the digicam we been using during the restore

sweet,LS1 it!!

maybe I will :burnout:

I see how ya are, let someone else do the body work! Looks like a good project!

my favorite yr GTO

fuck ls1 go ls2 or bigger… what color you going to go with it? sounds like nice plans

haha I HATE!!! body work. I can do it just choose not to.

I was thinking LS2 with maybe a Hairdryer. This isnt a numbers matching car so I have plenty of options:)

theres plenty of room under the hood

Looks like a good resto project.

I say resto-mod, tuck some 18-20" Torq Thrusts black with polished lip, and black paint. LS2.

Yeah if I could I’d hand over the body work too lol! I like the metal work, not the sanding, but all pays the same

Sweeeeet. Seems like the perfect candidate for a LSX block based big cube, low compression, all forged, mad boosted monster.

When it is repainted, keep it black. That thing will be GORGEOUS in black paint.

only a die cast car but would be awsome.

old school car needs an old school motor. fuel injection is for pussies.

Get more pics!!!

Technically, Pontiacs are not “numbers matching”. The only serial number is on the body/frame & 4 spd cars on the trans. The motor does not have a s/n on it just a two digit code & date codes.

Personally, I think it would be a sin to put a chevy motor in it. Fuel Injected Pontiac with twin snails on it would be sweet.

Glad to see another classic GTO on the site. Good luck with it. Keep us posted with pics along the way.

Black '65 GTOs are gorgeous. Black with a repro (porno) red interior FTW.

Fuel injection on classic motors is sweet. I have a mechanical Hilborn setup that I would love to convert to EFI & use on mine. Problem is that it fits the earlier (pre '65) Pontiac heads, not the modern ('65 & later) heads. When I build my 455, I’m running the Edelbrocks that are based on the later heads. If I can locate the proper flanges for the later heads, I will do it.

Pewter…Is that motor out of the red car younz had?

to late mom already had a chevy motor in it before

:puke:

It ain’t hard to switch back :burnout:
