This is wild.

Personally I love the idea but I’m not in the market. And it’s a vert but I guess I could live with that.

It would be a great LS1 swap. Kind of a Frankenstein, which is cool.

Any details on output? The ad doesn’t have any specifics.

this thing has been for sale for a LONG time, and i suspect it stays that way lol.

Is the rear just too far bastardized to stuff a Porshe motor back in there?

Anyone find a build thread?

first thing I thought.

I’d keep it electric. I don’t know what the output would be but I’m sure it’s enough.

And there is the added benefit of people thinking you own a car that’s worth more than it is

How much do you think a 1972 911 with a 964 body is worth? that’s an interesting car, but if it had a running PEE car motor it would only be worth $20k

My uninformed sense of Porsche value right now is that if looks old it’s worth $100k.

Lead acid? No thanks. Although I guess it’s a lot safer than DYI people doing their own lithium ion setups.

Too gorgeous not to love with any motor

My brain is really confused right now. I get the electric conversion fun but I don’t get the body conversion.

that is not very much capacity on this thing if that is all the batteries it has. This whole car is neat but it going to be a impossibly tough sale especially with the rate of progress in electric drive stuff. I would bet that does not have as much power as most people think. large DC motors are absolutely massive. google 100hp dc motor. High RPM versions I know very little about so possibly that is a game changer.

On the plus side you will not have to worry about your drivetrain developing oil leaks and having otherwise stupid old car problems. Put it on a 5 amp trickle charge and you are done.
