Hey all, I’m posting this for my dad. He’s a racing instructor with PCA (Porsche Club of America) so the car has been mostly used for track days and instruction at the Glen but is set up for IT racing. He built this prior to last year’s season and didn’t have time at all this year so the car has only had a handful of actual days on the track. It can be street legal if you put the cat back on.
Normally aspirated 1984 Porsche 944:
Autopower bolt-in cage
Momo seat
Weltmeister adjustable rear sway bar
Weltmeister 250# springs
Brey-Kraus strut brace
Lindsey 3" exhaust w/ Flowmaster muffler
Kumho Victor-racer tires
G-Force 6 point harness
Koni adjustable sport shocks all around
Weltmeister Throttle Cam
Shut off switch
Fire extinguisher
Window net
Front and rear tow hooks
All interior insulation, trim, upholstery removed (except dash and door panels per SCCA IT rules)
Asking $4200 or b/o
Here’s some pics:
(Sorry, a little dirty and a nice coating of brake dust on the wheels)
^^That’s not rust on the left, it’s the kick panel insulation!
Lol, yeah we’ll probably pull it out and wash it for better pics next weekend if I can get over there, we didn’t realize in the little camera window that the pics would be so bad. These were four of the best out of 10 or so, so that says alot for the pics that didn’t turn out well!!
That’s a smokin deal. You would have trouble finding an ITC rabbt or civic for that price. It has a logbook? What about results? Post it over at improvedtouring.com and it will be gone fast.
Edit: the cage is not IT legal so I assume it does not have a current logbook. The cage needs to be modified but it’s not a big deal, need to add another door bar on both sides
@EmKay, my dad just sent me a txt that there is a log book for the car. I don’t know enough about IT racing to know if the cage needs an extra door bar or not (or if he has it, which I’m sure he would if its needed) but I can get specifics from him when he’s out of work tonight. Oh, and thanks for the website link!
Also added Weltmeister throttle cam to list of mods. Probably more coming as he remembers!
Yeah, it needs the bars, it’s a recent rule (2006) so if it has a logbook ready all that needs to be done, is to add the extra bars and do a normal yearly tech inspection
