Well I bought the car for a few months and only a hand full of people knew of it. But some how people found out around where I live so im just goin to post my step by step on the car as I go. My goal for the car is to have it down my Mir World cup finals.
Nice to finally see another ls1 FC around. If you need help let me know. www.norotors.com will be your friend on the swap. I would suggest looking at Grannys Speed Shop or forum user (norotors.com) Pez for a mounts for the motor. He makes some using Corvette pedestals and thet are $165 IIRC. Goodluck, the swap isn’t difficult at all. I swapped motor and full brake suspension in a week.
thanks bro im debating whether or not if i want to turbo it now or just try to make a fast all motor build but i couldnt pass up the parts and car for what i have in it
You should stop by some weekend to see the car and get an idea of what you can fit. It’s not terribly bad to turbo the car. What motor are you using? I’ll send you my number if you want me too.
Also, I’m glad to see you picked up a TII, the differentials can take 450-500whp when setup correctly. You can use a bump stop from a ford focus as a pinion snubber to stop catastrophic damage to the pinion. Also, most guys use driveshafts from C5 automatic Corvettes, it’s a nice cheap alternative, and that’s what I am using.
If you want to do the Integra speedometer mod, let me know as well to. The speedo on the 7 cannot read signals, but the Integra one fits very nicely, and can be done for cheap.
