Ok, so im looking at selling my nissan 240sx in the near future, i want it gone before oct 25th, but i cant sell it till about a week or so before that…the car itself has 276 000kms
the motor was rebuilt about 7000kms ago. the head has been shaved with new valve seats. the engine got new pistons, rings, all the seals, bearings. regular engine rebuild stuff. ive recently replaced the water pump with a new one, brand new rear tires and decent front winters… the interior in this car was once gutted. the carpet is still not in it but the rest of the interior is. It’s basicly stock aside from a cone air filter, and exhaust (factory exhaust with removed cat and a muffler)… The bad… this car has a bad idol. sometimes it does stall itself, ive traced it down to a mysterious vacuum line that i cant find or my timing is off, the car runs fine when going through the gears, but the idol is bad… the car has a slight oil leak as well…The car also has a little bit of rust on the rocker pannel and a silver door handle.
Im living in whitecourt
my cell # is780 779 1722.
Im asking 2500$
This car is a nice ride, good solid body and runs and drives strong, driver has well maintained it for as long as i have known him and knows how to drive also!
great car,great seller
good luck with the sale!
(sad to see it go however)
i have sence got the car to idle better, and still have to change the timing a bit, but last night after fixing the thermostat and putting in a new rad hose, sompthing with the electrical system went, i have a feeling its just a small problem with connections at the battery, im gonna mess around with it for a biit, the reason of the price drop is i need to get this car out, and im starting to get sick of all these “little problems” problems that are automatic on 16 year old cars, tell me a car that isnt a money pit? atleast one youre fixing up, its not like you’ll ever get the money back that you put into it… anyway, to answer youre other question… I rebuilt the engine. but im slowley fixing the bad idle and possible the oil leak, because i think i found that its only from the timing cover…
just to let you guys know, its only going for 1500 if this problem is bigger then i think, if its just a simple connection… then its still the same price, especially sence the car might be idleing fine and not leaking any oil in the next few days.
