1989 Oldsmobile Trofeo

Been in the family for 15 years now, I’ve owned it for the past 9 months. It’s not perfect, but it isn’t in bad shape either.

156000 miles.
Power everything.
Leather
Blows cold a/c and good heat.
It’s got the first gen 3800 v6.
Digital dash
Darkening mirror (helps with car lights at night)

The bad:
Steering wheel column has a lot of play, I’m guessing it’s a few bolts that hold it snug, just worn out, or something… Driveable - yes, scary at times - yes. If you know how to work on cars, this may be a minor fix.

Does not brake well at all. I’m guessing again that it needs new rotors all around. Again, if you work on cars, feel free to take a wheel off and check it out. I’m not an expert.

2 Small rust spots on the front rocker panels forming, car looks good underneath and in the engine bay. Here is a list of the maintenance on the car since I’ve owned it:

new computer
new ignition module
new coil
new low beam halogen headlights
new harmonic balancer
oil chg, filter chg - synthetic
new spark plugs
left control arm w/ radius rod, lower ball joint
new left rear brake caliper w/ hardware
new ignition module, warranty from previous
right lower control arm w/ radius rod, lower ball joint

As you can see, the car has been maintained. It drives well, the engine has a lot of go still, dual exhaust, it actually sounds pretty decent. It turns heads because most people have never seen anything like it before. Any questions, feel free to ask.

New asking price: $1500

That is an awesome automatic transmission shifter.

Yeah, I love that shifter. A friend had a 90 Bonneville SSE he swapped a 97 L67 drive train into and he swapped that shifter in a well. Has a nice feel to it.

Do the headlight covers work fine? How about the electronic dash? I’ll pass this along to some people.

The dash lights up, but not fully. Speedometer works fine, but gas gauge and a few other gauges don’t light up real well, at night everything is visible however. Both headlight covers work fine, one is a replacement and isn’t in as good condition as the other, but it functions perfect.

New asking price, $1500, bump.

Make an offer, I need this gone ASAP! Asking $1000!!! call or txt 716-799-7870, if I do not answer leave a msg, I’m probably driving

Pretty sweet car I had one that was an 89 as well. I love them. They suck with the braking but that’s because they are too small for the car.

What car is that in your neighbors driveway? Looks like a '63 Impala.

Dodge Coronet, not sure on the year.
