I changed the oil.
Maybe if you had a real flagger I wouldn’t need to drive on the grass to avoid a head on with a pick up.
That what I get for driving down a country road being paved.

GT series?
Nope, just a T.
Here’s a bit more information on the progress.
It all started because I blew the trans apart. Figured "might as well redo everything rather than just swap a used trans in.
First things first, I needed a place to work. Spot was found and cleaned:
Rustoleum 2 part epoxy:
All moved in:
Started with this:
Now the motor could come out (Axle supervising):
I got side tracked and pulled the dash out to clean up some wiring and sort out some electrical gremlins:
After some cleaning:
After taking out ALL THE THINGS, some minor shaving and primer:
Hot rod satin black:
And where it sits now:
Plan is to have it finished and on the road by NamJam.
Whats owning a VW without electrical gremlins. This is what happens when you feed them after midnight…
i like these cars, don’t see them around much. My buddy also has a silver one
Another silver one you say? Where’s that at?
Car is currently having the charge piping, dump tube and downpipe made. Would have liked to it it myself but I don’t own or have access to a welder. Plus the guy doing the work is pretty good at it. Thanks again Dave!
he’s in amsterdam. Actaully come to think of it he has a white one too, the white one is a work in progress as where his silver one is all done and clean as hell
That’s pretty cool. I know of one out that way, kid I went to college with, that has a black one with fat 5’s and a voted front bumper. That’s a pretty nice looking car too.
All finished minus spark plug wire location. Need some options for organization:
Underside of hood needs some work as well.
Saw the car in person at Autobahn. Came out awesome!!
Thanks man. Dave does awesome work and I’m really happy with how the charge piping came out especially with the routing I wanted him to use.
Finally got it on the Dyno again. Its good to see apples to apples as I have had all three turbo setups on the same Dyno.
First was the 6psi, 30#, 2.5" w/cat and no I/C
225WHP
Next was 26psi, 42#, 2.5" w/ I/C and cat
327WHP
347WTQ
Graph shows this pull versus the previous setup:
Currently it is 20psi, 42#, 3" Turbo back
386WHP
345WTQ

Bought a TruBoost Boost Controller. Works pretty well
