So the good: the car needs nothing, mechanically. And even better good: I bought this car in Virginia about 8 months ago. I’m the second owner. There is no rust, no rot, no corrosion. When I did the clutch last week, I had to pull the exhaust. Every flange bolt and nut had 6 sharp points, and all came off with hand tools. The exhaust manifold heat shield bolts all came out with a ¼” ratchet. This car is an absolute joy to work on, especially if you’re used to the crap we normally deal with. The car needs nothing mechanically right now.
The bad: dent in RF fender, and scratches down the same fender and door. Touched up poorly by previous owner. Missing center caps. Missing M emblem from LF fender. It’s no beauty queen, but it’s not horrible.
Some pictures. If you want to look, I’ve kept it stored in my shop since we took it off the road a few months ago. Feel free to come down and check it out. I’ll also be happy to put it up on a lift.
