I’ve seen this car in person and it’s got alot of issues. I believe it’s been to 3 different local shops trying to get the problems resolved. There was no accident but the tranny went during rushour city driving a couple weeks into owning the car.
The BOV position venting directly into the air filter, ghetto homemade strut bar, and silicone covering the massive oil leak are a clear indication of the type of work put into this car.
Use some common sense people, what reason does this guy have, to come in and lie? He hasn’t once mentioned he was demanding any compensation and he admits he’s addressing the issues on his own dime. Why would he put down a car that he currently owns and was suppose to be his pride and joy?
If anything he’s doing you guys a service by warning you about a scumbag. Seriously, read Habib_Albi’s posts…all he does is brag about running imaginary high 11’s and “dynoing” 400hp@flywheel (who talks about flywheel hp in a dyno context!?) with no slips. Anytime someone calls him out on it, he gets real defensive, real quick and attacks them by belittling them and name calling.
Here’s a nice little gem I got in my inbox, but really, it’s Elias shooting himself in the foot
“Blown headgasket and oil Pissing out” were Elias’s own words, long before I ever owned the car…actually, you know what, better let Eliar tell you himself in his thread about it:
(oh btw Elias, I thought you said you went 20K without any problems? So is the 1K that you drove it till you blew the headgasket and pissed oil everywhere not count or something? If that happened after 1K, I’d hate to know about all the possible damage you did in the next 19K kilometers. In case you forgot, I’ll let you refresh your own memory—seems kind of hazy)
This is the picture he put up himself, it’s on the 1st page of this thread. This is before I bought the car obviously. Now what do you think tht silicone is trying to seal in this perfect engine?
Here’s one I took myself earlier today. You can see the head covered in oil.
And here’s some fine craftsmanship by some really knowledgeable modded car guys I know of. Check out the BOV contamaventing into the filter and poisoning the system. I wonder how fast this car would have been with a clean filter and properly placed BOV…
Who told me I have stock injectors? Well, besides a Nissan mechanic who specializes in SR20DET builds, you just did…you said they were retarded right? Anyway, why wasn’t I shown this supposed flow test, and why wasn’t I shown the supposed 1/4 mile slips that Elias said he got running mid 12’s? Where’s the dyno slip? Where’s any of this information you guys keep blabbing to me about? All I hear is a bunch of blabberers. Why don’t you prove it? All you do is talk about a perfect car with absolutely no problems, but I’ve discovered otherwise.
Well, first of all, I never told you i got into an accident, I told you my transmission went. So quit making more bullshit up. It’s funny that you say I’m smoking crack. I’m not the guy who put up some false advertisement about some perfect car that runs high 11’s and has 414 to the crank and never had any engine problems in 20K kilometers.
Here’s some pictures of the car I got into an “accident” with that I only drove a month in.
I forgot to take pics of all the oil that leaked underneath the car, but I’m sure you can use your imagination.
the head gasket didnt go the front timing cover is where the silicone is and yes i put a little bit there and i never had a problem after that. and big woop the blow off valve is touching the air filter you make it sound like a big problem there is nothing wrong with it like that if you don’t like it change it. and you keep talking about these injectors your an idiot the car wouldn’t run right if they were stock look at all the other people telling you that anyone with a bit of knowledge would know they aren’t stock because i have a Z32 maf and an enthalpy tune.
these guys kinda have a point dude all i`m sayin is even if the HG went it was way before you had the car so thats out the window and you should have said something nego the price if you had a prolem with where the bov is located
Take the car to a real tuner. No mechanic at nissan/backyard Bill is going to be able to tell the difference from a tuned eprom (you do know what an eprom is right?) and a standard unit without the appropriate hardware to read the file. Get a clue.
Like everyone else has said, the injectors are high flowed “deathworks” They’re reworked stock injectors. Kind of like having larger turbines put inside a stock turbo housing (Similar to the turbo “kit” for the new GTR)
The strut bar is a CP racing unit, it’s old, really old, like back when you were 12 old.
I think elias is a numskull but he isn’t a crook, furthest thing from it.
Dipper, I’m assuming you are referring to me? I suppose I am pretty uneducated when it comes to ghetto modding cars. The point that everyone is missing is that the car has had major issues since the day he brought it home.
Why don’t you enlighten us to how the car would run if it did indeed have stock injectors? Because the car was hittin’ fuel cut with 94 octane @ 15lbs. But really, the whole fuel cut situation is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to the problems. There’s alot more important issues to address than double checking to see if the stock injectors were jimmy rigged.
It’s a struggle to even get the car running and keep it running without problem after problem popping up. Problems with fuel cut, so he turned down the boost. Then problems with the electrical system, so he replaced components (battery and alternator). Then problems with the transmission grenading, so new tranny goes in. Electrical problems come back but this time it’s an issue with the electronics (alarm/starter). All the while, there are issues with white smoke coming from the exhaust and massive oil leak. Another day, there was even loss of compression and the car died on the side of the road in traffic. And then some new issues came up with the throwout bearing and clutch.
Now all these issues came up within the first MONTH of ownership. Pretty fuckin’ shady for a “mint” car. When he tried to contact the OP, the dude just ignored him. Then he comes on saying how it must have been in an accident and that’s what caused the problems? WTF
You are a hack and an idiot. Don’t get it twisted and try talking down to me, tough guy.
Meagan guages and stock wheels on all season tires…seriously…shut the fuck up. I hope you get cancer and die.
ok
have fun. im sure the ecu will know when you put the “real” injectors.
Whats the duty cycle on the injectors at this “fuel cut”?? what speed and rpm.
If its 4000rpm, you need a new maf.
try unpluging it and see if it makes a difference.
your sure your not hitting speed cut?
If you put a new s13 tranny into the car and used the s13 speed sensor youll hit speed cut in 2nd gear.
if you were using stock injectors at the boost levels you say you dropped it to, you would still be maxing out the stock injectors with a gt2871r. you would have run retardedly lean and detonated. blowning the motor. But its still running so thats obviously not the case.
However, IT WOULDN’T RUN ON STOCK INJECTORS AT ALL. I dont see why you cant understand that. Every person on here has said the same.
so you replaced the battery and alt and electrical problems returned. So you didnt fix it.
You cant just throw parts at a car that not running perfectly. you need to find the problem. Cant just be fixed with money.
A one day temporary loss of compression? really???
issues comming up with a clutch tend to be a result of how the vehicle was driven. With the way elias told me he was test driving the car out here, im really not suprised.
Oh, and you were concerned about the BOV pointing at the intake filter right.
Because it could blow back into the intake???
EVERY STOCK turbo CAR HAS A REDIRECTED BLOW OFF VALVE. Cars are designed and tuned to run with the bov venting directly into the intake piping. So what if its pointing at the filter. Cone filters do need to be cleaned frequently too…
True, there is. I didnt say it was done intentionally.
but it wont make a big difference. Your off the throttle anyway.
worst thing that can happen is a bit of blowby gets on your intake filter.
AK-47 you say the car had issues since the day he bought it. but the funny thing it Sina got picked up from the airport with the car we drove around all night in the car. the next day we drove it to drop it off at the shipping yard and he even said it drove nice sounded good and he had first hand experience that there was nothing wrong. after he took posession i’m hearing all this garbage. Ask the guy yourself so enough is enough. Oh and nice insult by the way. meagan gauges and stock wheels did you think of that by yourself it must of took you and the other junkyard mechanics a while for that one.
Knight:
If you bring the BOV into the argument, make sure you have good points to back it up. At the time when you purchased the car, the BOV was in the exact same place, and nothing was hidden from your eyes. It is YOUR responsability as a buyer to decide if something is worth buying or not, no one is forcing you to do it. If the BOV looked sketchy to you, dont buy it, or compromise and make a deal with the seller to cut the asking price a little.
This applies to everything else on the car as well, not just the BOV. You remember when people tell you to take a car to a shop for inspection before you buy it? They dont tell you this for no reason. The seller can lie to you as much as he wants, however if you take their word for it, you’re always taking a risk and may get fukced over for it in the long run. Bringing it to someone who you know and trust (and who is very knowledgeable about this car) can clarify any problems regarding the injectors, ecu, etc…
I’m only saying it’s probably your fault for buying the car without knowing exactly what you were buying…
If you buy a car for 1000$ and later find out the tranny was messed all along, thats one thing. If you end up with a 18, 000$ car, and realize EVERYTHING was messed…You should have been more careful about your purchase…
I did sell the DW injectors to Elias as well as several other items on the car including parts for the rebuild of the motor and possibly the ACT clutch.
The injectors will look stock… but as people have mentioned, it its on a Z32 mafs and still runs properly then there is no way you have stock injectors or a stock computer in there.
I’ll also agree with people who doubt the abilities of a Nissan tech at a dealer to understand this stuff… it is outside their normal duties to deal with cars modded like this.
