:eek :eek I dunno about those cables / cable tie things man. It’s obv you got a welder, so why not try something like this:
obv you can get away with a lighter duty chain :rofl :rofl

the underside of your car hurts my brain
who’s mine? why?
colors, glitter, chrome, chains, ow
glitter aahahhaa that’s not my car, but used it as an example of a typical chain setup on a hopper. i lost all the pics of mine
Im pretty sure Tom’s running the same wheel and tire setup as that car… LOL
MMMMMMM…you sure you know about cable? The tensile strength on the braided cable is WAY higher than that of the linked chain…Not to mention about ten pounds lighter…
not the cable that bugs me bro, it’s those ghetto-ass looking clamps
oh shit welder fight
EVERYBODY GET IN HERE
WELDER FIGHT!!! :rofl
You mean clevises…that are perfectly not ghetto…and are good enough for most any job. But yeah lets put a chain on my 1800 lb track car. I’m srsly facepalming here
i’m not saying to use a chain definitely, i’m saying there HAS to be a cleaner way to do it then the “clevices” I was thinking along the lines of those bolts rubbing on tires etc.
Facepalm all you want man, was just suggesting a possibly cleaner way. Get butthurt about it.
:rofl :rofl
ok clearly you are a little clueless.
You can clearly see in the picture that at full droop the cables are nowhere near the tire. And that under full compression the cable and clevises pull themselves away from the tire…due to the position of the mount and length of the cable. No offense but you dont drive my car…nor have spent the R&D and track time for the trial and error to make the car stop breaking axles. Which it doesn’t do anymore because of the time I took to set up the cables. Which…BTW dont rattle, clank, slap into my shock housing, or are bulky, heavy and fucking stoopid. Now do you see why I dont want to bother explaning shit…I shouldn’t have to because it should be either clear to you or…??? Maybe not and you DO need it explained to you.
sorry for being rude dude…but hey that shit works and weighs nothing…you obviously want to build stuff to hop on the ground with…i want to launch the uphill at lime rock…i see a difference there.
GOD DAMN you are THE FUCKING MAN. No wonder auto-crossing is a douchebag sport.
Re-read my first post, didn’t say you were doing it wrong. Was merely a suggestion, no need to go on a rant about how awesome you are. Congrats on figuring out how to limit suspension travel ALL BY YOURSELF. you’re clearly the first one to ever do it.
and your motherfucking clevices still look like shit.
+rep :rofl
i ******-rigged up some of those cable clevis’ on my ebrake cable and…1 broke and the other 2 slipped. :Idiots
Again…you simply missed the point…I could careless about your opinion on my clevises. I never claimed to be the first to limit suspension travel. Merely stating that anything heavier would be retarded…like yourself. Way to get your panties in a bunch though. Thanks fo the edutainment of how ridiculous you are. Keep on hopping hoser
