Id be happy to help but i dont have a driveable car this moment in time…its being worked on. sorry
i live in cheektowaga right by the william exit off of the 90…i can hear and see the thruway from my house…
i like the idea of getting people on each side to try to lift the car a bit by the front wheels/fenders and having somebody else look under for something to hook onto…
digging in any and all forms is not an option because the yard can not be destroyed any more than it already is…i understand 10 guys in boots will press it down and slush it up somewhat, but nothing at all like shovels would lol…
and where the hell is jack? i thought he lived in my neighborhood…
wow, you live like 1 minute from me…and I am the master problem solver…but I dont really see a way to help you.
ill be there around 9ish, give me a call if nething changes.
wait a min…u can see the thruway from your house??? so can I…hmmm
ok there’s a lot of posting going on, and a lot of interest and possibly solutions being offered, but so far only articzap looks like he’s comin…and whoever he can round up…which is pretty shitty…i thought more of the loyal members of NYSpeed…
so i’m gonna start a list now, just copy and paste with your name if you’re down please…

Why are you trying to make people feel guilty for not helping you? You are asking for a favor right? So how about you be appreciatve for the help you DO get.
who said i’m not appreciative? i’m very appreciative for any and all help i get, i always have been…
i’m just trying to sort out the people on here that are talking about things that can be done from the people that are going to do things, that’s all…
and since posting a thread about it asking for help obviously didn’t work, i’m trying a new approach, the possibility of guilt…why not, not like i’m gonna lose anything
if i dont get trashed tonight iam in
ok i have class now until 8:45, after that i go home and meet articzap and a few other friends to try to get the pig out of the mud…
if anybody is planning on coming, call my cell and leave a message and i’ll call you right after class to give directions: 949-1461
hopefully i can get a few more people to volunteer…
Technically the only real way I can think to get that car out would be to dig a hole on the side, use a hydrolic jack to lift the car. And then place some 2x4/2x8s under the wheels, on the front and back. Then do the same on the other side. I can guarantee you there is no way to do this with doing some damage to the yard. And this is the safest approach I can think of with that car.
Seriously though people are willing to help if you give them time, and don’t be a dick about it. As for me I’ll be at work until after midnight, if you guys are still working at it I have a tow rope in the scooby. But I wouldn’t even try it until the car is dug out some, even if you had some place to attach it. It could cause some damage to the undercarrage if it’s bottomed out.
Regardless the yard is going to sustain damage, no way around it.
for 7k I will pull it out with my car.
I had a car buried up to the rockers this weekend in my backyard. I hooked a tow strap to it and pulled it out with my POS 91 Cougar. For god’s sake people, this isn’t brain surgery. If the car runs, give it a slight amount of gas while another vehicle is pulling. It will come out…
ur being a pussy about the whole not digging thing. u wont have to dig much to get a tow strap on
got it out, no digging or strapping necessary…
6 guys pushing and rocking it back and fourth flattened out the sides of the holes the wheels were in…dad comes out, recommends we put sand under the front of all tires, but we dont have any…
solution = kitty litter…and lots of it, got the car rockin again, with me givin it constant and very gentle gas, and it came right out…3 of the 4 holes in the ground are at least 6 inches deep now…
drove it all night, just got in, love it…it’s even more fun in the cold, slower than stock or not, still a blast…
thanks again to all the guys that showed up to help, i take back the empanada offer, taco of your choice on me guys, that is…for those of you that show up at mighty tomorrow night…
im glad we got it out. at first it looked easy then it looked grim then your dad came out. deff a fun night. u owe me a ride in that bitch lol.
what kind of car is it?
i think his user name sums it up.
I suppose… if he has one car, but I wouldn’t have imagined his one car would have been stuck for awhile…
the car’s been sitting on the side of the house for a few months, just slowly sinking every time the ground thaws, and with the cold nice cold nice pattern we’ve been having this winter, it’s been doing a lot of sinking…
