Just an idea i was tossing around earlier…or more of a complete random thought that popped in my head and right now i doubt i’ll do it, but if i can find enough hot pics of this similar idea carried through, who knows…maybe i will.
a lot of the OG’s on here will remember what JoesTypeS’s old teg looked like…black top half, white bottom…if i remember correctly. i thought earlier of a similar idea for the Z.
for a while i’ve wanted to paint it…but blowing the motor kinda put a big hold on all cosmetic plans i may have had…but it didn’t stop me from buying some cosmetic related parts.
I still have the J-Spec bumper sitting in my basement…but i’ve also purchased since then new and nearly mint T-Tops and a new WINGLESS rear hatch…(figured it would be a lot easier and cheaper to just buy a new hatch than try and sand all the bondo off of mine, and then hope i did it to spec with a stock hatch so a stock wing would fit on it).
these new parts are gloss black, off of blk300tt’s old car…and the paint is in damn good shape on them. i was thinking…and flame away if you must, that it might, JUST MIGHT look OK if i kept the T-Tops and Hatch black…and got a CF hood…maybe a CF nose panel too…and had a black top half, and red bottom half Z.
like i said…right now i like just plain red too much to really seriously consider this…but if i can find some kickass photoshops and/or similar ideas been carried out in the past that i think look sweet…who knows, maybe KCuv will be able to stay the only red and wingless j-spec font Z32 around…
what ive wanted to do to my car is cf hood and lip and have the car painted almost identical to the color of carbon fiber so there is not much contrast at all between colors.
