did a slight tune up ( plugs , coil boots) noticed a yellow lookimg sludge on intake hoses and on dipstick while checking oil… cars has 90,xxx miles, has been running a little shitty at times/ while underload. car drove fine after tune up… so far, any ideas whats causing this, where its comming from what to look for … read online it maybe a codensation problem . any thoughts would be appreciated
if it’s a yellowish gunk in the top of the oil cap and in the PCV hoses it’s just condensate mixed with oil. Unless there is a lot of it building up inbetween oil changes I wouldn’t worry about it.
Is it eating coolant mine dd it ended up being intake gasket
Gf’s 99 or 98 Malibu did the same shit. The intake manifold gasket was being eaten away. Sold it bought a Civic. Fixed.
The intakes leak on those id pull the intake changebthengasket and check for cracks on the intake
intake gaskets are real common on these. My dad’s old Cutlass did the same thing.
