I never realized how much you have into it until reading this. I can’t wait for a ride in it!
Trust me you don’t have to tell me about Hondas, lol. That’s all extra cash though on top of the “budget” given.
X2 on everything here.
Very nice! I’ve always wanted one of these, keep up the good work on transforming it.

Thanks guys.
I was getting kind of afraid of cooking the clutch, so I ordered an ACT HDSS Sunday night. It came yesterday and I started tearing apart my car. I can only work on it a few hours per night after work but hopefully it will be back together by Saturday night and I can start the “break in” process. I can’t wait to really be able to rip on this thing and not worry about the clutch slipping.
Hehehe. There are 2.4L motors that are revving to over 10krpm and putting down nearly 400whp on a Mustang Dyno.
The HP record holder for the K series NA motor is the guy who I’m sourcing the important parts of my engine from.
400NA WHP in a Lotus would be “fun” to say the least.
A friend has a 102mm stroke in his K with a really really horrible rod/stroke ratio and his redline is 11k.
This is Shaweet!
Indeed!
My clutch was probably on its’ way out before I added the s/c. Most of the grooves were either messed up or non-existent all together. The layers were separating as well.
Everything is finally back together and I’m starting the dreadful “break-in” period…
It’s amazing how this car completely transformed over the past month. It went from a somewhat quick sports car to a legitimate race car.
Once you remove the clam shell is this pretty easy to work on?
It makes a huge difference. It’s like working on an engine that’s outside of a car.
Good looking lotus!
Very nice, keep it going.
