Because NFL contracts arent guaranteed.
Also Goodbye Peters…worst left tackle in the NFL last year…gave up the most sacks per play.
They won with Chambers there.
Maybe we can get a TE and a DE in the first round and life would suddenly look good.

My only concern was what if he had made it to training camp. Maybe he could have been more than that “overrated,” player you are all talking about and lived up to his expectations.
Ill see how he does this season (with a full training camp and season) and then tell you if the trade was worth it (and that is regardless of who we pick).
“the Falcons gave Matt Ryan, the #3 overall pick, a six-year, $72 million contract that includes $34.75 million in guaranteed money.”
sounds like alot of money for nothing to me yea the whole contract isn’t guaranteed, but 34 MILLION is
Well Philly wants him to pass a physical AND agree to a contract extension before finalizing the deal…
didnt ATL go to the playoffs last year? sounds like money well spent. Wasnt matt ryan rookie of the year for what he did for ATL?
Yes and Yes but there was no guarantee he was going to be good.
it was ONE example… lol jake long was also the highest paid offensive lineman in the league last year…i could go on… for every one guy who makes it big there are 10 who fail epicly. Ryan Leaf anyone?
Haha, in fact, if you go down that chart in the link he posted, statistically, chances were that he was going to be not worth the money.
JaMarcus Russell is one of the highest paid QB’s in the league and he blows.
agreed. it seems like hit or mis.
we could always pick up the tackle that philly let go for a year since they were “too old”
who is it tra thomas?
this year is about winning not developing players for the future
fyi
Dominic Rhodes Signs 2 Yr deal with Bills
Peters just got a 6 yr $60 million deal from the eagles lol Apparently all you have to do is give up the most sacks and you’ll make alot of money
edit and now that the peters headache is gone can they PLEASE atleast give fred jackson a decent contract, thats a guy who actually deserves a raise
this does not seem to be in the works apparently jay lol
why did we sign dominic rhodes??? this doesnt make sense to me. do we realy need 3 runnin backs with starter qualities?
so whats going on now…
parrish in talks for trade…bills trying to get rid of kelsay. wonder if they will try to trade for a lower pick with someone.
would be awesome if curry was still available at #11
wait wtf… were did you read about the bills trying to get rid of kelsey?
no way curry lasts till #11!
oh i def agree jay lol…but im just wishing
I predict we trade Jackson. He has a lot of upside and value in the market thanks to teams going to the two headed monster approach. Keep Rhodes and trade Jackson for a TE, DE, or secondary.
