200hp and 60mpg

the polo bluemotion is around 75hp/80mpg and the golf is 105hp/70mpg, the bluesport roadster prototype is expected to weigh in at 180hp/55mpg

Not sure about the specs on the BMW. Internet is too slow but if you can find them please post them.

$35K tops.

Difference between 20MPG and 60MPG is likely to be end up around $1000 a year in savings (more as gas price goes up), if its your only car.

So the price has to be comparative (with the above savings in mind) to a fun daily hatch with 200hp that only gets ~20mpg.

This. I’d love to drive one. Just saw a ton of these things (non-M) littered all over Germany for a good week or so. It’s really depressing we don’t have them here.

195bhp, 295lb ft of torque from as little as 1,250rpm and 57.7mpg
£23,925 ($37,995)

It looks like its a pretty potent powerplant and proves there is still huge potential to be extracted from diesels.

The car looks great too and its a GM

I’d buy it

I don’t know if any specs have been released, projected or real, on the bmw 3-banger, but there are some articles about it floating around the internet.

AND it will never come to the US.

I’d buy if diesel. Honda needs to stop being a bunch of cockgobblers and get a diesel over here so i can stop driving shit volkswagens.

Agreed, I was really looking forward to their 2.2 turbodiesel. Would be awesome to swap that into an older car as well.

But how about 220hp and 50+mpg? Take honda insight, rip out hybrid shit, install K20A. ??? Profit!

Cant imagine a car with todays safety standards weighing less than 2k lbs. Last car I can think of is a 1st gen crx.(smart cars dont really count to me lol)

Hyundai Accents as late as early-mid 2000’s only weighed 2000-2300lbs.

I think my fit was around 2450 and my rsx is 2620 and they aren’t big cars. It’s crazy how heavy cars have gotten.
