"Well, I was chatting with the Lieutenant that does our vehicle purchases for the department last night. We discussed our (his) latest order that he had just put through. Mainly CVPIs of course, but a couple more Chargers (V8s of course) and six Impala 9C1s. Now, the potential bad news is about the Impala. The six that he ordered will be issued out to be evaluated. If they do good, then we’ll probably order a few more, but that all depends on a lot stuff, like pricing, CVPI status, etc.
Now, here’s what I was told. When they were ordered, he was told that the 5.3 liter (like in the SS) is supposed to be available in the 9C1 for the 2010 model year. Nothing set in stone, just what he was told when he ordered the six 2009 models."-jmlock
