This is sorta old news. Im not sure if GM is gonna actually make this happen. Just like the chargers, these will come thru with the base 6.0L that is only 370hp. Its still a very heavy car. These things make the crown vics look like lite weights.
I understand that highway cars like CHP or Troopers need fast cars but the cops in the city would be just as well off with more efficient patrol vehicles. Think about it. Our tax dollars are paying for hundreds if not thousands of these things to get 13mpg all day while someone beats the crap out of it going to domestic disputes and false reports of burglary in progress.
^^most of NYCPD drives Prius’ so I doubt bigger cities will get these. Probably going to be like the 4th gen camaro’s that troopers got.
The video said a V6 version is coming eventually which will probably be under 300hp and probably getting 20mpg+.
But they did say it was a concept in the beginning so…which one to believe…
