more info just popped up reguarding the ecoboost engine and transmission. From the article it sounds as though they had to beef up the tranny quite a bit to handle the added power. that makes me think that the current 6sp may not be a very strong unit. Not that this is a suprise to me after driving the lincoln MKZ (lincoln version of the fusion/mazda 6). it was a interesting read.

355 hp to the front wheels? ewww…
Also a taurus in SHO trim has been spotted in Michigan on manufacture plates.
I think it looks great and that ford quality has really gotten a lot better…
and for those bitching about the price… c’mon you know they’ll be leaving dealers for 20k… when’s the last time somebody paid sticker on a ford.
Ford is the only one of the big three that seems to get whats going on. The car looks nice, and hopefully has the quality to match. GM thinks the Malibu is the answer to toyota quality, but then you sit inside one and its still the same plastic piece of shit in a different shape. I think its important the american companies focus on improving the quality of cars most people buy, which are midsize and compact cars. Nice job on fords part for improving styling.
American car companies are really stepping it up. All the import humpers are going to be running out of ammo soon.
or put another way: people who will only buy the best cars will be able to buy american again.
