I this bike. I love the motor set up! I think all bicks should be set up like it!
Maybe in 6 years I can pick one up…

i have an 06 and love it !
I like it… but what’s up with the loop in the tail pipe, is that just to keep your junk warm on a long trail ride? I know… it’s a motocross bike… but seriously it’s a step towards the future. I’d really like to take one for a few laps and see how it compares to my old CR250. $600 price hike over last years model MSRP is the only thing I don’t like about it.
the loop is to keep the length for the TQ curve. I think a $600 price hike is not bad, with has much has changed.
I was just looking at these last week… REALLY thinkin about picking one up.
I miss dirtbikes
I was checking that out a couple months ago when the design photos were leaked…really genious to turn the head around, can’t beleive no one thought of it sooner. If I could afford to I’d swap my '03 suzuki RM250 for this bike. Maybe I’ll catch someone at the track with one and get them to let me hit a few laps on it.
I like the reverse head. I see how it benefits gas tank and air box locations.
I wish I could ride good enough to be able to notice those changes if I got the chance to ride it, my old bike was a 99 400f, lol.
Someone did… Cannondale did this on their dirt bike years ago.
True, true, I was going to post that.!
Also if I’m remembering correctly, Cannondale was the first to put fuel injection on a production MX bike.
id love to toss a leg over one of these new thumpers. i still been stuck on 125cc pingers but got i love em
2stroke all the way! go grenade one of these f’ers and ill do the same to my 2 smoker and i can do a quick hone job and throw a new slug in it and be riding in the same day. not with thumpers
meh, I used to be a die hard 2 stroke fan. Maintain the 4’s and your set. power band is more controllable. Engine braking helps alot.
I would die on a 2 stroke at the SM track
OT but Ford just reversed the heads on their new 6.7L Scorpion diesel motor. Don’t know why nobody did that sooner either.
If I was going to get back into it, I would need a 4 stroke to lug my fatass through the trails. 2 strokes are for kids.
Haha, your a big guy I was kinda scared when you came into work that day.
I’m rather excited to get one one of these maybe I can handle it a bit better. 450 is alot for 135lbs guy. It was hard to get traction and what not
Did I miss you? Say something next time!
Cummins has a V8, it isn’t in a truck yet, but they just developed a V8 that would have benefited from this design.
The Duramax would have benefited.
This doesn’t only apply to the diesel world, any turbo car (V block with single power adder) would potentially see benefits from a setup like this.
