2011-2012 Snowmobile Season

Now we know who the hardcore guy is.

It’s right around the corner. Maybe it will snow this year…

Hey look, the conditions are just as good in July as they were in January!

Hahahahaha… oh, now I’m sad.

i had mine out last month ripping around the yard.

our “crew chief” for racing is working on moving to florida to retire, so him soon to not being around and all the bulshit with other cheating racers / bad tech / grass drags as a whole going down hill has left us to decided that were done racing.

of course my buddies that i race with are selling their trail sleds (these guys are the guys i ride with, known them over 10 years) since jim is going to florida and with the crap winter, they figure why bother. already sold the trailer.

so im sitting here like what the fuck. keep the sled, get shit winters, have no one to ride with.

thinking about selling mine and getting a boat instead. not quite as useless. though i probably would miss snowmobiling.

lol… we had one really bad winter and people are going “fuck this, I’m done”.

ive been snowmobiling the better part of my life. it hasnt been just one bad winter and thats not the main reason.

Bump, should we start a new thread for this upcoming season?

go for it

I see they already put the trail signs up last week in Colden.

bump for buying a trailer. brand new all aluminum enclosed stealth predator. 4 place staggared (27’x7’) dual axle, elec brakes, ez lube hubs, aluminum wheels, seamless, wedge v nose with diamond plate and diamond plate fenders, led lights, white finished walls inside. black/green 2 tone. picking it up sunday. bought for racing but will use it for winter as well and ill ride my sled with a forsale sign. decided to go big. lol.

Damn, that’s a lot of trailer.

Schweeeeet!

Would like to put this out there now as the season approaches. Would like to start planning a trip to Tugg Hill this season as various factors have prevented me from making the trip for at least three years. Last season isn’t even worth discussing. If anyone wants to consider a “group trip” as nyspeed members, I’m open to discussion. I would probably wait until after the first of the year to get through the holidays and be fairly certain conditions are worth the trip.

We typically stay here (http://www.theedgehotel.com/). Very easy to get to, excellent accommodations right on the trail system. Not the cheapest out there but I’m past the point in my life of staying in a closet with a shower and a bed. We’ve stayed there twice with no complaints. Update the thread with ideas and who might be in.

I am in if I can mooch some trailer space off of someone

The only thing I’d have available beyond my sled trailer would be my dump trailer. I think I could fit two sleds in it and we’d just have to work out towing logistics. Not the lightest / best option but an option.

I would be in as well. No truck/trailer, but I do have a few buddies that I could gather most likely.

if i dont sell my sled before then, i would be up for tug hill. id say you want to go a couple weeks into january for a good weekend.

picked up the trailer yesterday and parked it at my buddy’s house. gonna do the roll in bedliner on the floor and some mats on the ramps, gonna see how that holds up in this one.

edit: he says the chevy did pretty good towing the trailer, but admits he would rather have his old dodge towing it :stuck_out_tongue:

My sled runs as of yesterday.

In for tug hill.

Yeah some of us have been talking about going to TH.
