Pendelton Snowmobile Club
You can drop at the holland willows, trial goes right through the parking lot.
I believe Hamburg is listed as open but not great conditions.
I’m going down to Honeoye, 18 inches or something of that nature.
We got over a foot here in genesee, I have no idea why its not open. There are sleds riding out right now, With the winter we had last year, I would fully expect you guys to get out on the sleds with this much snow.
fyi, pendleton trails are part of shawnee.
Oatka added me to their group and they posted the following:
the trails are open and letchworth park is also open for riding
ill be out tonight!
Was out on Hamburg’s trails earlier. Plenty of snow, but still tons of water and mud. Ground isn’t frozen and neither are the water holes. I gave up after a while, it just wasn’t worth getting continually drenched.
Went to Honeoye today and dropped off at Harriet Hollister Spencer Park. No one else had been on the trails and there was no grooming except for a few short sections where the long track cross county ski groomer sled had been. Went for a few miles and kept getting stuck. Powder was so deep it was pretty much a you stop you sink you get stuck. I had to bail a couple times because the powder just took over the sled just went where it wanted to go. I talked to Fred the guy that grooms the ski trails and he said the same thing and he had powder skis and a long track. Prob a good 18-20" of snow.
Renewed my Sno Chiefs membership and registration for the first time since 2009-10 today. Putting insurance on the sled tomorrow
Just got home from our loop down to flip side in strikersville, over to bryncliff then back up to the Sahlen sports park at Seneca and Jamison. Some great riding, but also some very wet riding. Crossed one water hole where a boat or jet ski would have been more appropriate. Lean back, peg it and pray. Fucking freezing drizzle for much of the night made this the first time I wished for a heated shield.
heated shield ftw. Holland will have groomers out today and tomorrow
I put 75 miles on yesterday from 8am-4pm. Rode from strykersville to arcade, then to holland and back to strykersville. Overall it was a decent ride. Lots of wet spots. Luckily no debris on any of the trails that I could see.
About halfway through the day. Stopped for oil and plugs.
You can finally renew registration with club voucher online.
I’m gonna be out today/tonight if anyone is going to in the southern tier.
so clarence and marilla arrent open yet?
was out in Wheatfield last night
I heard marilla was open, but not from a reliable source…
