2011-2012 Snowmobile Season

no shit, congrats dude. i thought it seemed like youve been quiet around here haha

Yeah, not planning to drive 3+ hours to ride mud and bare spots. I’m gonna make sure it’s cherry before I head up that way.

Lucky dogs!

Where is that? Are the trails open?

Tug hill says this is one of their trails from bradingham to Stillwater.

I’ve run up that way. Doesn’t look like they even got a chance to groom yet.

Yeah, was reading last night after I posted here that they got quite a bit. Unfortunately I’ve got plans today and tomorrow is xmas eve so I’d need to be back here pretty early. Not sure it’s worth the haul to get maybe 4 hours riding in Monday.

I hear ya. Trails reports are very good. Groomed, no rocks/mud and they are getting a good base because of the amount of snow that has fallen.

Has anyone stayed overnight up there? If so, what is a decent, cheap hotel to stay at?

We’ve been going to the Edge hotel. Not the cheapest but nice accommodations and right on the trail. They have a website. Some rooms are available with jacuzzi. I’ve been happy with them.

I just booked a room at the Flat Rock Inn. My buddy is going to rent a Polaris 600 from them and we will stay up there this coming Friday and Saturday. If the weather stays true, it should be good riding.

Yeah, stopped at Flatrock but never stayed there. I believe it’s up on top of the plateau. Nice views up there. Timberview is another nice stop on the trail. Wind turbines are dominant and plentiful up there.

Bump, let’s hope this storm does the trick.

calling for 15’’ in batavia so hopefully it covers some stuff over here in genesee county. I’m going to head out tonight and move some trial markers around so anyone riding avoids water holes not frozen over yet.

Going over to mom’s tonight and bringing the sleds back with me in anticipation that there will be somewhere to ride Thursday after work. If it’s looking good I’ll work 7 to 3 and hopefully be dropping in Clarence by 3:30.

If trails open ill be out Thursday night.

I’m headed to tug Friday morning as it will be a sweet ride with all this snow they are calling for.

Folsom and tricounty drift hoppers are open as of 7pm. Will be hitting the trails somewhere tomorrow right after work. Hoping NESS opens and I can launch from Clarence but they were already making excuses about water on their message boards and saying even if they got a foot they might not open. Between them and Marilla I swear they just look for any reason not to let the sleds out.

Add Franklinville to the open list.

I will be riding from Holland up to Strawberry fields for breakfast and south from there at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Hoping to hit lots of fresh powder all morning!

Where do you guys park/unload to use the Folsom trails?

Edit: Hill and Valley Riders / Quad County’s trails are open
