THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEW
YORK.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THE PROBABILITY OF WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

A STORM SYSTEM MAY BRING STRONG WINDS AND ACCUMULATING SNOW TO THE
REGION LATE THIS WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND. STRONG WINDS MAY BEGIN
THURSDAY NIGHT AS A POWERFUL COLD FRONT CROSSES THE REGION. THERE
IS A CHANCE THESE WINDS MAY BE STRONG ENOUGH TO PRODUCE SOME MINOR
DAMAGE…ESPECIALLY ACROSS WESTERN NEW YORK.

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW BY FRIDAY MORNING…WITH PERIODS OF SNOW
CONTINUING THROUGH AT LEAST SATURDAY. IT IS STILL A BIT EARLY TO
DETERMINE LOCAL SNOW AMOUNTS. HOWEVER…ACCUMULATING SNOW APPEARS
LIKELY FOR THE ENTIRE REGION. THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED
SOUTHEAST OF THE LAKES AND ACROSS HIGHER TERRAIN…WHERE
SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

THERE REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH THE EXACT TRACK OF THIS LOW
AND THE DETAILS AS TO WHERE THE STRONGEST WINDS AND HEAVIEST SNOW
WILL BE. TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION MAY BE SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED
BY THIS STORM. STAY TUNED TO FORECASTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE IN THE COMING DAYS FOR FURTHER UPDATES.

^^doesnt matter. strong winds = no rideable amounts from blowing around too much.

just a fun little riding area near my house

Yeah I am not getting too excited just yet about that storm. I do however like the fact that the lake is super warm though. Could work in our favor to dump a ton of snow all at once.

Yeah, not shaving my sack just yet. Would’ve been nice to have a few days of subfreezing temps to freeze the mini lakes and mud holes this day if rain just dropped.

A small glimmer of hope here fellas…

meh.

I gotta get cracking on my sled…

Just went and fired mine up tonight, put my reg sticker on and it’s all set to go. Wales probably has a good 4-6" already and they were getting pummeled as I came home just a few minutes ago. After a good cold days, the ground will freeze and if we get the storms they are calling for this coming week, we should be able to ride the Boston hills and southern tier.

took mine out back on the runway for a bit. almost flipped over backwards a couple times lol…

didnt sell on ebay and havent had much interest…so i may just ride it this year…and i got my eyes on a set of ported 900 jugs i may slap on it…

anyone on here have a fast sled i can play with?? lol

Nothing but a lil 440 here :frowning: lol

Haha how’s that project coming?

Doubt he’s touched any projects considering he just got married and bought a house lol. Oh and a pup, BOB.

anyone who wants to head up north to tug hill, I would be in for a ride. I am out of work until jan. 7th and I really want to ride. They are opening trails as I type this and they are getting hit pretty good today.

Link to club sites saying they’re opening?

^ Usually has good updates and I don’t see anyone talking about open trails.

EDIT:

^ TC says they’re open with lots of water. I’ve dropped at Hanifin Corners before.

TRUTH!

The only problem Jay is the wind is blowing this snow around. You will have 3’ snow drifts in some spots and bare grass in others.

Here is another positive picture to see:

Snow groomers out at Montague Inn up in Copenhagen, NY.

Yeah, I’m not towing all the way to the hill for 6" of snow and 10" of dirt. Extended forecast looks promising with cold temps all week to freeze things up and a possible end of week storm.

Very true, next weekend might be a better shot for decent riding. As much as I want to ride, I am going to maximize my $$$ and time. They are talking about opening some trails in Bliss/Arcade area on Monday, but nothing solid yet.
