2012 NFL Season

The texans and niners both have better qbs than Sanchez, he would not do as well on those teams as you think. He got lucky in some early playoff games, big deal, but he has never proved anything. His completion percentage isn’t very good, his pic to td ratio is almost 1:1, he fumbles the ball a good amount. All of which really have nothing to do with the defense. At best he’s average, I’d say most of the time he’s below average. If the Jets didn’t have him, he wouldn’t be starting in the NFL.

Being that the Texans are better on both sides of the ball than the niners, I expect to see some struggling again this week.

I love discussing NBA/NFL so don’t mind the long post :lol

I will 100% agree with you on his completion percentage and turnovers. But that’s not what I said. I said, when he has to, he has made MANY big plays and had MANY good drives to win ball games. Especially in the playoffs. BUT, he also had a good offensive arsenal to work with, an all-pro offensive line, etc.

You realize that most of his mistakes are caused by being forced to release the ball QUICK thanks to the porous offensive line. Right? Not to mention the blindside sacks which usually = fumbles (for example the Baltimore game last year where he was raped, quite literally). Those mistakes are only 50% Sanchez. You think Tom Brady (who is NOTORIOUS for falling apart if the defense is pounding him all game) would do any better? May QB’s like Big Ben who don’t mind getting hit would, but most QB’s wouldn’t do so well either if they were getting pressured THAT much THAT fast.

By all means, I would LOVE to have another QB in there…but all the fans who are clamoring for Tebow right now or are saying the Jets issues are 100% because of Sanchez are complete and utter idiots.

The JETS are terrible. Sanchez hasn’t been doing great, but the issues are on BOTH sides of the ball…not just with his arm. His arm isn’t even CLOSE to being THE main problem. He has NO run support to help out with the play action, etc.

Also, here’s Sanchez’ playoff numbers:

2009 -

vs CIN - 12/15 for 182, 80%, 12yd avg, 1 TD, 97 QBR, 139 RAT
vs SD - 12/23 for 100, 52%, 4.5 avg, 1 TD 1 INT, 47 QBR, 60 RAT
vs IND - 17/30 for 257, 57%, 8.57 avg, 2 TD 1 INT, 77 QBR, 93.3 RAT

2010 -

vs IND - 18/31 for 189, 58%, 6.10 avg, 0 TD 1 INT, 57.5 QBR, 62.4 RAT
vs NE - 16/25 for 194, 64%, 7.76 avg, 3 TD, 88.8 QBR, 127.3 RAT
vs PIT - 20/33 for 233, 60%, 7 avg, 2 TD, 56 QBR, 102.2 RAT

Aside from the SD and 2nd IND game…he hasn’t been all that bad.

So…if we look at this playoffs numbers (which is the only thing I care about - playoffs wins > regular season glory), I’d say he’s done pretty well:

Total - 95/157 for 1155 yards, 62% completion, 7.7 yards per play, 9 TD, 3 INT with an average 97 Rating.

That’s not even CLOSE to being a ‘horrible’/‘lucky’ stat line. Not even close.

So, to sum it up…Mike Tannebaum needs to be fired for giving Sanchez such a crappy ‘canvas’ to work with. On both sides of the ball. I can’t fault to defense too much though…since the offense can’t stay on the field…the defense gets tired out by the beginning of half time :lol.

As for the Niners/Texans…I don’t think you got what I meant? You put Sanchez on those teams and they’d be pretty damn good. Maybe not AS good as those QB’s are better than Sanchez…but they’d still be deep playoff favorites.

And I definitely think the Jets will get BLOWN OUT by Houston. Not arguing that. Jets should just lose every game and get a high draft pick.

Double Post

Playoff numbers are important, BUT if you can’t get your team to the playoffs it doesn’t matter how good your playoff numbers are.

I’m not saying Sanchez is the problem, and I’m not saying Tebow is the answer. I’m saying that eventually a time will come we’re they’ll say what do we have to lose by starting Tebow.

I understand that he may have made a handful of good plays to win 2-4 games, but he clearly has made dozens of bad plays to lose some games also.

They need a lot of help, and ill agree its not all his fault, but put him on an other team and yeah the team record may be better, and his stats might improve but he’s never going to be a better than average qb.

Agreed.

He’s not great, like I said, but with the right tools, he can be good enough to get your team deep into the playoffs. Maybe more. If the defense didn’t come out against Pittsburg 2 years ago and let up 24 points in the first half, they may have made the Superbowl. That top 3 defense looked like trash the entire first half. Mendenhall was shreading them. I blame that loss mostly on the defense for letting the game get out of hand before it even started. The Jets still only lost by 5 IIRC, but they could have won had ‘one of the best defenses’ shown up.

Either way, Jets season is already over. I say just ‘play’ the games and get the best pick you can :lol

Washington Redskins lost this weekend.

If the Redskins rule holds true - Romney will be chosen as POTUS tommorow.

:pop

Also… when ice cream sales go up, murder rates go up

Gmen!!! Not!!!

:rofl

Also never heard anyone use “POTUS” referring to the President.

Doug Martin… that is all

Arian Foster, whose played consistent all season long > someone who has had their two best career games after playing mediocre all season long.

Very popular term to describe the President. Same with VPOTUS, SCOTUS, etc. It’s used a lot on more political sites, such as gun forums.

Stop using fantasy points as your judgement…

Martin is still a rookie and has done pretty well being he wasn’t even supposed to be the starting back. He hasn’t been the only one getting hands off either.

None the less, Martin is a beast.

Are you aware that Martin has more yards than Foster? Also has a better yards per run average? He has almost 200 more yards Recieving on only 8 more receptions.

Don’t think foster was to consistent against the packers!

I only follow fantasy, brah.

Poor cossey… Martin is promising to say the least. Not to mention he’s still shining after the bucs losing 2 pro bowl caliber guards to the ir

if you didnt take the colts -3 tonight, your a raging black cock sucking faggot.

Seems like obama is making lines for vegas now. Giving away a fuck load of money.

SO, Firemen Ed retired from being a superfan because fans were giving him too much crap about his support for Sanchez while Tebow is available. F’in Jets fans.

They piss me off.

Jets fans who are clamoring for Tebow don’t know football. Mark Sanchez, even on a bad day, gives us a better chance to win. Why? Cause he’s a QB. Tebow is a RB/FB/TE in this league. He is NOT a QB.

When Sanchez had a good offensive unit, he did alright and got to two AFC games (yes, defense helped too - as it does on all other 31 teams). The last two games, he has also played pretty well with good stats (other than that silly fumble against NE). People need to give him a rest, it’s NOT all his fault or even half his fault.

Start to blame the real culprit - Tannebaum. He gave Rex and Sanchez an offensive unit with ZERO depth to work with. Hell, even the defense has zero depth. This is all on Mike. He needs to be fired.

Didn’t firemen Ed used to be a dolphins fan?

Fireman Ed is a blowjob anyways… lol

Bucs missed a big oportunity to gain ground in playoff race losing to the falcons, I thought they had it.

Giants looked great last night. Defensive line played possessed. Huge game against Washington next week.
