Wish more nyspeeders would’ve shown up to the one I went to last year. Was an interesting experience.
yeah, look for local events once we post WNY regions SCCA schedule. Should be posting it up with in a week or two hopefully.
FLR region has a Darien Lake event the last week in April. WNY will be hosting events this year at Ralph Wilson Stadium (yeah, that’s right, it’s going to rock). WNY region is also in the works of getting another really good venue but that won’t be released until its official.

Definitely up for an event at Ralph Goblin Stadium. Maybe a little more room than ECC North. Keep us posted.
How would a first timer go about trying this out? Just show up?

Car needs to be in decent mechanical order (looks don’t count), no bad tires, nothing left inside the car loose to roll around. Bring your own approved helmet, or borrow theirs. Small “weekend membership fee”. Start it up and embrass yourself.
Approved meaning dot? Sweet, thanks for the info hopefully I’ll get to a couple this year.
One of my buddies in LI was running this series a while back with a mazdaspeed3. He has a mustang now, not sure if he’s running that there or not.

All helmets meeting the latest or two immediately preceding Snell
Foundation standards (SA2010, SAH2010, SA2005, SA2000, M2010,
M2005, M2000, K2010, K2005, K98), SFI standards 31.1, 41.1, 31.1A,

For maximum protection, helmets must fit securely and should provide
adequate peripheral vision. The chin strap must be securely fastened.
Loaner helmets should be available to vehicle occupants not having
their own.
NYR Doesn’t run a Junior program and our courses may run too close to smething to allow for karts. Considering the previous surface of the lot, kart consideration has been long gone down here.
Have you guys run at then Stadium yet?
